Guests say

Neuadd Wen in Tyn-y-Gongl, Anglesey, is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its comfort, spaciousness, and well-equipped amenities. Guests enjoyed the beautiful garden, views, and the proximity to beaches and local attractions. The presence of a play area and sightings of red squirrels added to the charm. Some minor maintenance issues were noted, but overall, the property provided a delightful stay for families and groups.

Most guests found the property to be very clean and tidy upon arrival. However, a few guests mentioned areas where cleaning could be improved, such as under couches and around windows. These seem to be isolated incidents rather than a general trend.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to beaches, local nature reserves, and attractions like Beaumaris. The scenic views and the ability to spot wildlife like red squirrels are frequently mentioned as highlights.

Guests consistently mention the comfortable beds and the cosy, home-like feel of the property. The spaciousness and the variety of areas to relax, including a conservatory, contribute to the overall comfort.

The property is well-equipped with a play area, games, and a well-stocked kitchen. Some guests experienced issues with the oven and suggested an upgrade. The presence of a car charger, although not free, is noted as a modern amenity.

While guests appreciated the overall experience, there is no specific mention of gifts or special touches that could be categorised as 'thoughtfulness'. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

It was very conveniently situated. We would love to come again in the future as we had such a wonderful week.

It suited our family group of 8 adults well. Comfy beds. As we didn't need to use the sofa bed in the sitting room some of us could stay up late watching the smart TV. It was warm so no need for a fire, and we enjoyed the conservatory even when it rained. My 90 year old Mum found the downstairs bedroom comfortable. It is a little walk with a zimmer frame through the hall and kitchen to the downstairs shower room so our folding commode was handy, and we took a suction grabrail for extra support in the shower room. Plenty of different places to sit downstairs and some furniture could be moved around. Loved the view of the mountains in the distance and horses in the field and the scent of the roses around the door. One of us spotted a red squirrel while cycling nearby, although not in the garden. We enjoyed sea swimming, beaches and cafes, nearby historic sites (the iron age village was magical), and nice evening walks to Red Wharf Bay. The Llangefni Dingle walk was even fairly doable with the wheelchair. We had a tasty meal at the Bull in Beaumaris one day but other days enjoyed eating in around the big dining table. We couldn't manage to get the bottom oven to work but we did roast food in the top one, and after reporting it we had a response from the owner who is trying to sort it out for future guests. The road is quite busy and requires care when turning out of the drive, but we didn't find the noise a problem. It is an old house and one area upstairs still seemed to be drying out following chimney work, but it felt airy and clean. Altogether a lovely week and I would book it again.

We were disappointed that the grass had not been cut, made it awkward for the children to play games outside. The fridge freezer was superb but a 2 slice toaster for up to 11 people was inadequate. Overall we had a lovely holiday and managed to get to the beach everyday.
