About this property

Nestled in the heart of the village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll on the picturesque Isle of Anglesey is 17 Ffordd Gwenllian. This welcoming bungalow benefits from a fantastic location close to local amenities, the coast, the countryside and the mainland as well as off-road parking for two cars, two well-appointed bedrooms, rear garden and a glimpse of the mountains in the distance, all making this a wonderful choice for families, friends or couples looking to explore all Anglesey has to offer. After a day full of exploration, cross the threshold into your new home-from-home, stepping into a spacious living/dining room where the electric fire can warm your feet while you unwind in front of the Smart TV. Later, head into the fully-equipped kitchen to rustle up a hearty meal that can be enjoyed around the dining table or outside on the rear patio with a view across the fields. When the evening draws to a close, head back inside to freshen up in the shower room ahead of sloping off to sleep in either of the double bedrooms. Just a stone’s throw away from the property lies a selection of local stores where you can stock up on all of your self-catering essentials and pubs including The Penrhos Arms and Tafarn Ty Gwyn which both serve delicious food, perfect for a night of celebrations or simply a well-earned break from the kitchen. Follow the coast to reach the historic town of Beaumaris where you can while away the day exploring it’s breath-taking castle with moat and Beaumaris Gaol and Court or jump on a boat to discover Puffin Island, admire views across the sea or enjoy leisurely strolls across the beach and pier. For another taste of the coast venture to Niwbwrch (Newborough) to meander through its dense forest which backs the breath-taking, golden shores of Traeth Llanddwyn. Other nearby, notable attractions include Pili Palas Nature World, Plas Newydd House and Gardens and Anglesey Sea Zoo or cross the Menai Strait to reach the mainland where Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park houses a whole host of activities; there is something for everyone! All this and more awaits at 17 Ffordd Gwenllian.

The community of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrnd robwllantysiliogogogoch, Anglesey, usually known as Llanfairpwllgwyngyll or Llanfair PG by residents, is the longest place name in Europe. St. Mary's Church in the Hollow of the White Hazel Next to the Fierce Whirlpool and the Church of Saint. Tysilio of the Red Cave is a fabricated name created in 1860 as a publicity ploy for the railway station. Llanfair PG, located not far from the Menai Straits and the Britannia Bridge, is a wonderful place for families to live. Take a picture in front of the village nameplate at the train station, then proceed into the busy visitor's centre for a wealth of information about the area. At Menai Bridge, past the octagonal Toll House, lies the Marquis of Anglesey statue and column, which, for a nominal price, can be climbed to the summit for breath-taking panoramas of the surrounding area. On the Menai Straits shore, you'll find Nelson's Monument not far from St. Mary's Church. The stunning shoreline of Anglesey is close by, and there are several excellent pubs with restaurants, craft and gift stores, and cafes to keep you occupied any time of year.

The location was very good. In general the house and facilities were well kept and the information provided was ok. The welcome items were appreciated. Parking for two cars was only possible because our cars were short enough to fit on the drive (other vehicles parked opposite the house prevented close street parking).
