Bryn Peris is a charming and well-loved cottage in Moelfre, Anglesey, praised for its cosy comfort, excellent location, and characterful features. Guests have enjoyed the property's proximity to beaches and coastal paths, its enclosed garden, and the thoughtful touches that make it feel like a home away from home. While some guests noted the bedrooms are snug and there were minor maintenance issues, the overall experience has been highly positive, with many looking forward to returning.
The cottage is consistently described as very clean, with several guests specifically noting its spotlessness and pleasant smell. Only one review mentioned a cleanliness issue with the oven and cutlery drawer, but this seems to be an isolated incident.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to the village, beaches, and coastal walks. Guests appreciate the quiet setting and the ease of access to local amenities and scenic spots, making it an ideal base for exploring Anglesey.
Guests find the beds very comfortable and the conservatory a delightful place to relax. However, some guests mentioned that the seating in the living area could be more comfortable and that the bedrooms, while cosy, are on the smaller side.
The cottage is well-equipped with a good-sized kitchen, games, and a Nintendo Switch for entertainment. However, there are comments about the need for a cafetière, issues with guttering, and the oven being challenging for some, indicating room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
While guests have expressed appreciation for the well-stocked kitchen and the inclusion of a Nintendo Switch, there are no specific mentions of gifts. Therefore, it is not possible to score thoughtfulness based on gifts, and guests should note that such extras are not guaranteed.

This two hundred year old cottage (which reputedly once housed Charles Dickens while he wrote about the wreck of the Royal Charter!) is ideal for families in pursuit of a traditional coastal holiday to this part of North Wales, home to the finest beaches and views. The interior of the property enjoys a clever blend of traditional charm and contemporary design, creating a warm and welcoming base to return to each day. Step into the sitting room, where the exposed beams frame the plush seating arrangement and the traditional open fire, a great spot for unwinding and tuning into the TV as the fire crackles. Whilst the sitting room is great for the whole family to come together, the conservatory offers a tranquil space to enjoy an hour's peace and quiet. Certain to entice a spot of home-cooking is the well-equipped, characterful kitchen, home to a Range cooker and everything else you could possibly need to rustle up a local dish or a tasty snack. Join your loved ones within the dining room, where a woodburning stove gently fills the room with warmth as you toast to a wonderful holiday and plan the following day’s adventures. As the evening draws to a close, head up the stairs to catch your rest within one the well-presented bedrooms, each one enjoying lovely views and enough hanging space for your belongings. Choose between two double bedrooms and a bunk bedroom, which has been designed to delight any younger guests of the group. During the summer months, venture out into your garden and soak up the sun on the lawn, offering a great spot for a picnic and spacious enough for your canine companions to stretch their legs. Look forward to strolling around this charming village, where you will find a number of amenities, including the local shop of Rhen Fecws where you can pick up freshly baked bread, homemade cakes and essentials, accompanied by a pub, a fish and chip shop and a number of cafés. Within the surrounding area you will be spoilt for choice by the beaches that are awaiting to be enjoyed, including the village’s local beach, Traeth Bychan, Porth yr Aber and Porth Helaeth, where all kinds of watersport opportunities can be had, from canoeing, kayaking and kite surfing. Close to many other lovely places on Anglesey well worth visiting. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there and would definitely return.

Beds really comfy best sleep had in a long time. Garden brilliant size with having a dog. Few things need improving though. Seatteâs so uncomfortable as they are very old and definitely seen their better days. Back ached from sitting on them after a while. We actually bought our camping chairs into the living room half way through the holiday as they were so much more comfortable. Parking! Says parking for one vehicle. If side of the cottage you really need to drop the curb. If through gates at the side the gates need some attention. The hoover really Smelt when we hoovered before leaving. Menai holidays themselves fantastic. Organised a supply of fresh linen because we were there for 2 weeks and a plumber same day when we had a blocked drain.

It was ideal for our family. The cottage was immaculately clean. It is in an ideal spot for walking the costal paths and travelling around Anglesey.
