Cosy Barn is a well-received holiday rental with stunning views of the Welsh mountains and a tranquil setting. Guests have praised its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and the peacefulness of the location. While some minor maintenance issues and a lack of certain amenities have been noted, the property's charm and the helpfulness of the caretaker are frequently highlighted. The absence of Wi-Fi is mentioned, but the property's overall appeal seems to compensate for this.
Most guests found the property to be clean and well-presented, with only a few mentioning areas that needed attention. The presence of cobwebs and a damp smell were noted, but these were exceptions rather than the rule.
The location is highly praised for its quietness, stunning views, and proximity to local attractions. The peaceful setting and encounters with local wildlife add to the charm of the property's location.
Guests have found the furnishings comfortable and the property warm and inviting. Some guests mentioned the beds could be improved, but overall, the property is considered cosy and pleasant.
While the property is well-equipped, several reviews mention broken or outdated appliances, lack of Wi-Fi, and the need for better kitchen utensils. Maintenance issues such as a broken oven door and extractor fan were also highlighted.
There is insufficient information to score thoughtfulness accurately. While some guests mentioned the lack of a welcome pack and complimentary items, it is not clear if these are standard offerings or were simply missed by those guests.
Cosy Barn is a delightfully welcoming holiday cottage set in Anglesey countryside. With a bright, stylish and open-plan interior, you’ll certainly feel relaxed from the moment you step inside this pet-free abode. You’re also only a ten minute drive stunning Newborough beach and forest with its red squirrels. The holiday cottage itself also offers lovely views of the Anglesey countryside which is beautifully framed by the stunning Snowdonia mountain range.
The sitting room is bright and welcoming yet cosy with its wood burning stove. There are sofas set around it, with large French doors in front which open out onto the garden. If you can tear your gaze from the views, there is also a TV.
Just off the main sitting space is another seating space, which is a little more private if you’d like to escape and read a book for a little while.
The dining area and kitchen is open plan which makes for a sociable dining and cooking space! The kitchen has all you need for rustling up family suppers including a dishwasher, large oven, hobs, Belfast sink and washer/dryer.
The master bedroom is not far from the kitchen and has a king sized bed and gorgeous views as well as an ensuite with shower, loo and wash basin.

A family bathroom has a roll top bath, loo and wash hand basin.
The garden is utterly delightful! It’s enclosed and south-facing with lawned and patio areas with a table and chairs. Sit out here with a cuppa or a glass of wine at the end of the day and soak up the views in the sunshine. Blissful!

Llangaffo is a small village situated between Gaerwen and Newborough on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales. The village has views of the Menai Straits and the mountains of Snowdonia, and contains a local store and post office. It is also home to St Caffo’s Church which dates back to 1846 and was named after a 6th century saint who was killed nearby. Just two miles away is the village of Newborough which lies on the edge of forests and dunes, and is home to a population of red squirrels, one of only two colonies on Anglesey. Close by is Llanddwyn Bay, renowned as one of the finest beaches in Britain, ideal for swimming, canoeing, beachcombing and birdwatching or just relaxing! Behind the beach, the 1500 acre sand dune system of Newborough Warren is home to skylarks, meadow pipits and oyster catchers, as well as toads and lizards and is protected as a National Nature Reserve. The famous Anglesey Model Village, set in one acre of beautifully landscaped gardens, is within half a mile of the village centre and makes a fun day out for the whole family, and Anglesey Sea Zoo, Tacla Taid, the old vehicle museum and Foel Farm are nearby.

Also very nicely presented. The views of the mountains are spectacular. However there are a few things that need improvement. There is a lack of useful utensils in the kitchen, such as no small vegetable knife, no steamer basket, and no microwave cookware. There are still issues with the cooker - timer knob is broken, and extractor light not working. On the plus side, 5 corkscrews are available! The plug in the bathroom basin would not stay down, and the bathroom extractor fan was not working. In spite of all these niggly issues, we did enjoy our stay.

Just how we like it. We felt the Cosy Barn could benefit from a good clean and some tlc. Much of the information provided is out of date and of little help. The fact that there is no access to Wi-Fi is inconvenient in todays climate.we did feel in the circumstances the rental costs were on the high side. However we did enjoy our holiday .Best Wishes Peter and Jennie Smith
