Guests say

Maesoland Farm is a spacious and well-situated cottage in South Wales, offering a range of amenities including a games room and ample outdoor space. Guests have praised its location, the size and the facilities, particularly for families and those with dogs. The property has a homely feel and is described as a good base for exploring the surrounding areas.

Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with several guests finding the property clean and comfortable, while others noted areas in need of a deeper clean, such as cobwebs and dusty surfaces. The inconsistency in cleanliness experiences has led to a slightly above average score.

The location is highly praised for its peacefulness and proximity to beaches and places of interest. It serves as a great base for exploring both Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, contributing to a high score in this category.

The comfort of the property is generally well-regarded, with guests appreciating the cosy and warm atmosphere. However, some guests mentioned issues with mattresses and seating, suggesting room for improvement in this area.

Facilities such as the games room, garden, and kitchen equipment are appreciated, but some guests reported maintenance issues and missing items. The presence of outdated or worn equipment has slightly lowered the score.

While some guests were delighted with the provision of baby facilities and entertainment options, others missed a welcome pack upon arrival. It is noted that such gifts, though appreciated, are not a guaranteed offering.

The kitchen was well equipped but certain things that most cottages have were missing such as washing up liquid, tea towels ,only 1 toilet roll in each loo, no bath mats ,mattress protector wasn't on , un ironed sheets and no waste bins outside we took our rubbish and recycling away each day. The Sofas were really uncomfortable and a lack of tv instructions made it difficult fathom out. The property was pretty and quiet a few little steps would make it brilliant and at little cost.

    Lots of character!

Unfortunately it now needs updating and a good deep clean. From mouldy shower curtains to left over burnt food in the cooker, it was a let down. We had to hoover the tatty pool table and the outside furniture covers were covered in muddy dog prints. We still had a good family break and cleaned areas that needed it. Thankfully we booked last minute and didn’t pay full price.
