Guests say

Crud-y-Barcud is a well-received cottage offering a peaceful and beautiful setting in South Wales. Guests consistently praise the warm hospitality of the hosts, Sheila and Huw, and the added charm of the working farm. The property is commended for its comfort, scenic views, and as a base for exploring the local area. While most experiences are positive, a few guests noted issues with cleanliness and facilities.

Most guests found the cottage clean and comfortable, with only a few remarks about the presence of cobwebs and spiders, which is understandable given the rural farm setting. The majority did not raise cleanliness as an issue.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, beautiful scenery, and proximity to nature and local attractions. It serves as an excellent base for exploring the Welsh countryside.

Guests describe the cottage as cosy, homely, and spacious with comfortable beds. However, one review mentioned that the property was not suitable for those with limited mobility due to the staircase.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the well-equipped kitchen and the outdoor areas. Some guests experienced issues with slow Wi-Fi and one guest found the conversion of the property to be poor, affecting the score.

Many guests mentioned thoughtful touches such as a warm welcome, freshly baked bread, and wine upon arrival. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.
