If you prefer to soak in your surroundings a little longer, venture out onto your enclosed decking area to relish an alfresco affair, reflecting on your favourite memories so far before planning your itinerary. When the sky darkens, retire to an inviting sitting area and curl up in front of the gas fire ready to indulge a movie night on the Smart TV. Wash away the day in a spacious shower room before retreating to a neatly-presented twin bedroom or opt for a king-size bedroom with its very own dressing room and en-suite shower room, so you can get ready for the day in style. Begin your morning with a stroll to the coast where you can soak in the cliff top views, sink your toes into the sand and bask in the incredible Land Speed history that is synonymous with Pendine Sands. Travel to lovely Laugharne and envelop yourself in the history of Dylan Thomas with a visit to his former home, now museum to his life and his famour writing shed which both overlook the estuary. Or head west on foot along the Welsh Coast Path or by car into neighbouring Pembrokeshire and enjoy more seaside moments at Amroth, Wiseman's Bridge, Saundersfoot and of course, Tenby, all before refuelling at one of several coastal restaurants, pubs or cafés. Well-positioned to also spend the day traversing the Brecon Beacons or Pembrokeshire Coast National Parks, each offering an abundance of walking, hiking and cycling trails, Balmoral is the perfect base to begin your Welsh adventure.

A charming seaside community with a seven-mile stretch of sand beach that has historically been known for auto racing and attempts at speed records. The tragic car "Babs," whose driver died during one of the many efforts to break the speed record, was buried in the sand for many years before being dug out, rebuilt, and frequently shown in the neighbourhood museum for everyone to see. These ideal flat sands were used by even the well-known Amy Johnson to launch one of her several records flights. These historically significant dunes are ideal for swimming, kite flying, and sunbathing all year long. Pendine is the ideal beach community since it has local pubs and restaurants that provide delicious food, a café, a grocery store, and gift shops. The Land of Speeds Museum, which was just constructed, is also located in Pendine; the land speed record was actually broken on Pendine's beach! A short boat ride out from Tenby and Caldey Island is the stately abbey, as well as castles, additional sandy beaches, secret coves, and Dylan Thomas' famed boathouse, where he wrote many of his literary works. a fantastic setting for discovering this lovely region of Wales.
