Guests say

Willow Cottage is highly praised for its comfort, welcoming hosts, and beautiful location. Guests enjoyed the cosy wood burning stove, the well-equipped kitchen, and the modern bathroom. The peaceful setting and proximity to local attractions and walks were appreciated, as was the outdoor space. Some guests noted minor issues with maintenance and personal taste in decor.

Most guests found Willow Cottage to be clean and well-presented. However, a few mentioned concerns with mould in the bathroom and a lumpy duvet, suggesting room for improvement in these areas.

The location is generally praised for its tranquillity and convenience to local attractions and walks. Some guests were surprised by the distance from Aberystwyth but found the cottage to be central to places of interest.

The majority of guests found the cottage comfortable, highlighting the cosy wood burner and comfortable bed. There were some comments about lumpy bedding and personal preferences regarding furniture.

Facilities are well-regarded, especially the kitchen and bathroom. However, there were mentions of issues with window blinds, inconsistent hot water, and a need for maintenance on some items.

While guests appreciated the welcome gifts such as milk, eggs, and Welsh cakes, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of such gestures across all stays. Therefore, it's important to note that such gifts, while delightful, are not guaranteed.

The owners were very helpful. The cottage is comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen, good shower and comfortable bed. There are good laundry facilities. The location was ideal for us being a short drive to the coast and with nearby excellent forest and hill walks, some of which were on the doorstep. Devil's Bridge is a short drive away. We would recommend the walking at Hafod (National Trust). We stayed mid September and found the roads very quiet. We were also very fortunate with the weather and were able to sit outside in the garden on a number of evenings.

Bed was very comfortable but duvet was lumpy and cover was awful. Bathroom was excellent although hot water was not always consistent. Garden is very overgrown.

It was very comfortable and extremely well equipped. We loved having outdoor space to sit in and make the most of the sunny weather. The WiFi was fabulous - we’ve often had rather unstable signals at other holiday places which can be very irritating. The location was excellent for access to the coast as well as many lovely walks which we were able to do from the cottage. We had a very restful and relaxing week.
