About this property

Ty-Clyd is perfectly placed in the heart of coastal New Quay, on the Cardigan Bay coast. With the entertainment of a Smart TV, the luxury of an electric fire, and being conveniently located near amenities and a beautiful beach, this pet-friendly property welcomes families, friends and couples looking to enjoy a peaceful break by the sea. After a day of exploring the town, retreat to Ty-Clyd and make yourself at home in the sitting room, by cosying up with your loved ones to watch a movie on the TV. Unwind in front of the Dimplex fire or gather around the dining table in the well-presented kitchen/diner to enjoy a delicious meal as a family before heading out for another exciting day. When bedtime calls, choose from one of the three bedrooms; a king-size, double, or bunk room, all offering flexible sleeping arrangements to catch your night's rest. Freshen up in the bright and airy shower room with a walk-in shower, before heading outside to the enclosed terraced garden. Here, you can relax on the patio, soak up the sun or simply enjoy the fresh sea breeze while lounging on the furniture. Immerse yourself in the coastal charm of New Quay with a range of activities to suit all interests. Set sail on the seas with New Quay Boat Trips, catch a glimpse of bottlenose dolphins at Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre, or simply relax on the sandy shores of New Quay Beach. For a change of scenery, take a trip to Aberaeron with its picture postcard themes of Georgian architecture and travel inland to the National Trust Llanerchaeron Estate. A short drive south to Cardigan will lead you to its castle which hosted the first Welsh Eisteddfod in 1176, or indulge in a delicious meal at Pizza Tipi along the Teifi River. Make unforgettable seaside memories with your loved ones at Ty-Clyd.

This delightful seaside town is one of the most popular holiday resorts all year round, and it is easy to see why when you stroll along the sea edge and enjoy the beautiful views. The lovely range of gift shops, tea rooms, restaurants and pubs offer all you need, while boat trips are a wonderful opportunity to spot the playful dolphins, seals and other rare animals and birds that inhabit the bay's sheltering waters. For the hands-on members of your party why not try sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, and power boating with expert tuition available? The famous poet, Dylan Thomas, penned many works with inspiration in New Quay including "Quite Early One Morning" and you can follow the Dylan Thomas trail around the town. Just 7 miles away is Aberaeron, a lively Georgian harbour town with multi-coloured cottages and a good selection of restaurants and inns. This wonderful area of Wales not only has stunning sandy beaches, but also beautiful countryside walks and the outstanding Devil's Bridge is world-renowned for the three bridges, the narrow gauge steam railway and the cascading waterfalls. A perfect base for wonderful holidays, all year round.

Just a minute or two walk from New Quay's beaches and shops with amazing views over the beach and harbour. It's a very comfortable cottage with pretty much everything you could need. We would stay again.

Clean and spacious for our family of 4. Easy to get into the town. Steep walk tho. - Not good for people with limited ability. Although I managed it after getting a slight rip in my knee ligament the day before arrival. Great views from the front windows over the sea. Nice quiet street. Thanks for our holiday…
