About this property

This characterful bolthole for two is in the picturesque village of Mumbles, on Wales’s south coast. The bustling seafront, with its Victorian pier, ice cream parlours, and traditional seaside shops and eateries, is within 1 mile. Mumbles is surrounded by some of Wales’s finest beaches, including the beautiful Bracelet Bay and the surfing hotspots of Rotherslade Beach and Langland Bay (all within 2 miles).

The former stable building has been lovingly converted into a characterful holiday home, bursting with original features and quirky design elements. The cosy lounge/diner is a fabulous place to unwind after a day of exploring, with its striking beamed ceiling and stone walls. Enjoy a romantic dinner for two at the quaint dining table, before sinking into the sumptuous sofa to watch the Smart TV. Alternatively, head up to the mezzanine gallery to curl up in an armchair with your favourite book. Steps from the lounge/diner lead down to the cleverly designed kitchen, which is equipped with everything needed for a self-catering break. The elegant double bedroom is upstairs and features whitewashed stone walls, antique-style furniture, and fabulous exposed beams. An en-suite shower room completes the accommodation. Outside, the lawned garden provides a quiet spot to relax with a morning coffee as you plan your day.

Mumbles is a lively seaside village with many cosy pubs and independent restaurants, along with popular ice cream parlours and fish and chip shops. The shopping here is also excellent, thanks to a plethora of local boutiques and galleries. For traditional seaside fun, head to the amusements on the pier or ride on the seasonal land train. The village is considered the gateway to the stunning Gower Peninsula, where you’ll find jaw-dropping coast paths and iconic Welsh beauty spots such as Rhossili Bay (16 miles).
