Savour fresh fish and chips with a leisurely stroll along the traditional promenade, with colourful Victorian buildings to one side and the waters of Llandudno bay to the other, indulge in a spot of authentic Mediterranean, Italian or Asian cuisine with your choice of restaurant, or treat yourself to an ice cream with a view of the coast at West Shore Beach Cafe. Pack up your bucket and spade and head to one of two beautifully sandy beaches, where you can paddle the shores or bask in the sunshine with a good book, or if you'd prefer to stay on land, test your luck at the amusement arcades or take a thrilling ride on the ferris wheel aboard the pier. Immerse yourself in the fascinating local history of the area with a tour of the Great Orme Mines, the world's largest prehistoric copper mine dating back a staggering 4,000 years, or ride the cable car to the top of the Great Orme, a limestone headland that rises over 200 meters out of the sea. Whilst you're in the area, be sure to visit Snowdonia National Park, where the avid outdoor adventurer can tackle the challenging climb to the summit of Mount Snowdon, the tallest mountain in Wales.
