About this property

This fabulous, upside down link-detached cottage is located within a private estate, with views towards the Great Orme, and is set in the village of Deganwy, just two miles from Llandudno and Conwy. The cottage makes a perfect base for friends and families to gather and enjoy time together, and explore the beautiful coastline of North Wales. Nicely furnished and comfy, with a lovely homely feel throughout, this cottage is spacious and offers three good-size bedrooms on the ground floor, together with a well-appointed family bathroom and additional WC. The living accommodation on the first floor has comfy seating for everyone and is a splendid, sociable space with a high-vaulted ceiling and exposed beams, plus dual aspect windows framing views of the garden towards the Great Orme and the West Shore. There is also a dining area with a captain’s table and sliding patio doors leading out onto the decked roof terrace. With further seating outside and beautiful views, it is a wonderful place for alfresco entertaining or a spot to simply relax and soak up the sunshine with a refreshing drink, served from your very own bar! From the sitting room a spiral staircase leads up to a mezzanine snug, where you can escape to for a bit of quiet time with a good book! With lots of memorabilia on display, there is a definite maritime theme running through the cottage. There’s even a ship’s wheel and porthole with a sea view from the galley kitchen! The gardens, predominately to the front of this lovely coastal cottage, are well tended to and lawned with deep beds and borders planted with an abundance of mature shrubs, small trees and plants. An external spiral staircase leads up to the roof terrace, which provides more private outdoor space. The covered car port and block-paved driveway provide plenty of parking, and an external utility room provides secure storage for bikes and golf clubs. From the doorstep is a lovely walk across the golf course to the sandy West Shore Beach, where you can follow one of the many walks, varying in lengths, up to and around the Great Orme summit. If your holiday is more about taking it easy, you can take the Great Orme Tramway or cable car, and enjoy some of the most spectacular views of this beautiful coastline. Llandudno, with its Victorian pier and promenade, and Conwy’s medieval castle and attractive harbour are only two miles away and well-worth a visit. The Snowdonia National Park, Llyn Peninsula and the wonderful Isle of Anglesey are all within easy reach too, offering endless opportunities for exciting days out. In a great location, this cottage provides an ideal for a holiday discovering North Wales, all year long.

The village of Deganwy, on the banks of the River Conwy at the mouth of the Estuary, is a very popular holiday destination. Deganwy has a harbour, a small selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, and retains the ruins of Deganwy Castle, built in 1082 but later demolished. A wonderful base for exploring the wonders of North Wales!

We stayed there with our 2 dogs and grandchildren the only thing that I was disappointed with was the garden it was open so when the kids and dogs were playing was worried they would go into the road it looks closed off in the photos so unfortunately I wouldn't stay there again for that reason
