And while you will enjoy a tranquil escape, the pretty market town of Llanwrst, where a variety of helpful amenities can be found, is only a ten minute drive away. Head towards the coast, and the medieval town of Conwy and seaside resort of Llandudno are less than thirty minutes away.
The two-bedroom property sleeps up to five people on one level. Well-equipped and extremely comfortable, the cottage is ideal for couples or families, including those with younger children and dogs. The open plan living space is flooded with natural light and there's plenty of room outdoors for playing and having fun, including a private hot tub and indoor swimming pool. It's one of two welcoming cottages on-site, the other being Laurel which sleeps four people in two bedrooms. Depending on availability, you can book both together for two families who want to holiday together without sacrificing their privacy. With an acre of grounds, a heated indoor swimming pool, and a location within easy reach of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park and the coast, it's a place to enjoy all year round.
A few miles down the quiet country lanes is the charming village of Eglwysbach where you can find the Bee Inn, a traditional country pub that serves local beers and tasty, home-cooked food. Also close by is the Bodnant Welsh Food Centre, with a well-stocked farm shop selling a wide range of local produce and a café where breakfast is highly recommended.
Bodnant Garden is three miles from the cottage. The 80-acre National Trust estate is a breathtaking sight and a lovely spot for a walk and a picnic or morning tea in the cafe. Conwy Water Gardens are also popular, with fishing lakes, a nature walk and play area, and a Dutch Pancake House providing a delicious alternative to teacakes. Other local attractions include Conwy Castle, bird watching at rspb Conwy nature reserve and wetlands and the Welsh Mountain Zoo.
For those seeking their adrenaline fix, Zip World Conwy with its host of indoor adventures is located just across the valley and you're also within easy reach of Zip World Betws-y-Coed, Zip World Llechwedd and Zip World Penrhyn Quarry! Or, if you fancy more of a challenge, why not tackle one of the six routes that take you to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), the highest mountain in Wales and England. Fig Tree is not only ideal for the mountains, it's also perfect for days at the coast. Pick up your groceries in the shadow of the magnificent Conwy Castle or wander along the seafront promenade and Wales' longest pier at Llandudno.
Fig Tree and Laurel are available for bookings all year round. Short breaks (minimum of two nights) are available outside of peak season, depending on availability.

Fig Tree is the larger of two lovely stone holiday cottages. Accommodation is all on ground floor level.
Outside:
Outside there are lawned gardens, a large patio with the private hot tub, comfortable seating, picnic table and BBQ. All benefit from spectacular views across the Conwy Valley towards Eryri (Snowdonia). There is also over an acre of shared grounds for kids and dogs to let off steam in.
The heated indoor pool is available 24/7 for family enjoyment. Perfect at any time, but particularly handy on rainy days to entertain adults and children alike. To add to the fun, guests are welcome to bring their own pool inflatables, balls and floats.
There is also a shared utility room with laundry facilities and a choice of books and games for guests to enjoy in their cottage. There is parking for two cars (more spaces available on request).
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are provided. A travel cot and a highchair are available - please request when booking. Guests to bring towels for use by the pool, hot tub or at the beach. One or two well-behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement and a small surcharge. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
