Guests say

Guests consistently praise the cottage for its cleanliness, prime location near Conwy's attractions, and overall comfort. The well-equipped facilities and thoughtful touches, such as Welsh cakes, contribute to a homely feel. While parking and occasional maintenance issues are noted, the positive experiences far outweigh these minor concerns.

Reviewers frequently mention the property's cleanliness, describing it as 'spotless' and 'very clean', indicating a high standard of hygiene and care.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to Conwy's town centre, castle, and amenities, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.

Comfort is a recurring compliment, with guests finding the beds comfy and the house cosy, although a few minor comments about creaky beds and a lack of handrails for the elderly suggest slight room for improvement.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and additional amenities. However, some maintenance issues like a problematic freezer door and parking challenges slightly affect the score.

Guests appreciate the thoughtful extras, such as Welsh cakes and comprehensive welcome emails. While these gifts enhance the experience, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

About this property

Westfield is a warm and welcoming, primrose yellow semi detached cottage. It is only a five minute walk to Conwy's charming high street of independent shops. Follow the stream to the bridge and take the steps or slope to the ancient archway through the medieval town walls and there you are. The railway station is also within five minutes walk from Westfield.

This superb cottage provides warm and comfortable accommodation. The sitting room is at the front of the house and is light and airy. It has a large bay window with a view of Conwy's ancient town walls and town orchard. It has comfortable sofas where you can spend your evening with your friends or family in front of a cosy log fire.

The kitchen diner has a big table for enjoying large family meals and is fully equipped for home cooking. Behind the kitchen there is a lobby for all those coats and shoes plus a utility room with downstairs loo and sink.

Upstairs there is a warm, modern bathroom with bath and shower plus three spacious bedrooms with comfy beds.

To the front is a sunny gravel garden with lavender, where you can sit looking at the lovely view of the ancient town walls with a cup of coffee while planning your day.

At the rear, steps lead up to a partially enclosed decking area with plenty of seating and BBQ. Beyond is a grassy lawn and a huge apple tree that provides shade on hot summer days plus apples to pick for yourself, of course, in the autumn.

Westfield is great for children, with baby equipment including stair-gate, highchair and travel cot. There is plastic tableware and a cupboard full of games. A visit to Conwy castle is a must along with crabbing on the quay, nearby sandy beaches and Conwy's annual Pirate weekend! For older children a free walk around Conwy's ramparts gives amazing views, including a unique view of Westfield itself.

As a center, Conwy has a beautiful 12th century castle, many pubs and restaurants, a historic quayside, medieval houses (that you can visit) and art and craft shops. Its great for a walking holiday as it is close to the Welsh coastal path, the Conwy Valley, Conwy mountain, an RSPB reserve and of course, Snowdonia. In addition there are frequent special events held in Conwy, from the Honey Fair to torchlight processions and Conwy Feast.

If you want to jump into a car, within just a few miles are bustling Llandudno with its pier, the wonderful Bodnant Gardens, the fastest zip line in the world and the beautiful wide sandy beach at Colwyn Bay. Further afield, for day trips are Anglesey with miles of coastline, Chester for excellent shopping and the vibrant cities of Manchester and Liverpool.

For family holidays, walking holidays and getting together with friends, Westfield is the ideal cottage, all year round.

The historic town of Conwy is a World Heritage Site and is home to a castle, harbour and variety of interesting shops, good restaurants and pubs. Many events and festivals are held during the year.

It had everything one could wish for.Conwy is an excellent town with lots of interesting things to see and do. Will hopefully re-visit Westfield in the not to distant future. Thank you Nigel for all the information you gave us.

Lots to do in the area and we really enjoyed our stay. Only downside is the on street parking - have to park close to a wall on a busy road so tricky with children and no guarantee of parking outside house. Also recommend for safety fencing on front garden area as sudden drop onto road.

The house is very comfortable, clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The house is only a short walk from the centre of Conwy and yet is in a quiet part of the town with views of the castle walls. Everything was perfect apart from the weather, but nobody can control that! If we return to Conwy in the future we would certainly hope to stay at Westfield again. Thankyou.
