The Druids is a characterful and spacious property, highly praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and suitability for large groups. Guests enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and ample outdoor space. The property's charm and history added to the experience, with the annex being a plus for those less mobile. The hot tub and games room were popular, although a larger hot tub was suggested. Some minor maintenance issues were noted, but overall, the property provided a memorable stay for families and friends.

This spacious accommodation dates to the 16th century and has been used as a coaching inn, a blacksmith, a post office and a café over the years, adding to the character and charm of this dwelling. Today the property enjoys a quirky layout which is complemented by traditional features and the Gothic touches to ensure a memorable base that you will want to return to year after year. This spacious accommodation is ideal for a large family and friends gathering for those looking to explore this picturesque part of North Wales. Enter the main house, where you will be spoilt for choice by the sleeping accommodation that awaits you, with nine bedrooms situated across the house, each organised to ensure a flexible sleeping arrangement. After an action-packed day, look forward to spending your down time within the large sitting room, where the exposed beams frame the ample seating, offering a space for all the entire family to gather to tune into the TV or catch up on the day’s events. If you seek an hour’s peace and quiet from the rest of the group, venture into the additional sitting room where you can relax with a good book in hand. The charm of the property continues into the country-style kitchen, where the inglenook fireplace containing a Range cooker invites you to cater your own delicious evening meals, whilst also making use of the other quality appliances and the original butcher’s table. More casual dining moments can be enjoyed within the kitchen, whereas for those special occasions you can settle down within the large dining room, complete with a banquet table with seating for 22 people. Grandparents or families seeking to be away from the bustle and hustle of the main house will be delighted by the separate annexe cottage, where they will find an additional two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a well-equipped, open-plan living room with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area, housing everything you could possibly need. Continuing to impress is the property’s garden, boasting a large lawn and ample furniture for you and your loved ones to enjoy a spot of alfresco dining during a summer’s evening. After dinner, look forward to dipping into the bubbling hot tub before heading to the bar to pour yourself a deserved glass of wine before spending hours of entertainment within the games room, complete with a pool table and a football table. If you can tear yourself away from this wonderful location, venture into the market town of Corwen where you will find a superb selection of amenities to suit all ages and tastes, whilst the Rhug Estate Organic Farm Shop is situated close by for those extra special occasions. Whilst here soak up the North Wales scenery by enjoying a journey on the Llangollen Heritage Steam Railway or walking along the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pontcysyllte. Set in the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, at the meeting point of five river valleys, is the picturesque North Wales market town of Corwen. A charming town offering plenty of local amenities including traditional butchers, greengrocers and bakeries as well as a selection of pubs, cafes, restaurants and a leisure centre, trim trail and children’s play area. Corwen provides everything you need whilst discovering this stunning area. A journey on the Llangollen Heritage Steam Railway, which has now been extended to Corwen, is one of the best ways to see the beautiful views of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in comfort. Take a horse-drawn canal boat from Llangollen and visit the unesco World Heritage Site of Pontcysyllte, Britain’s largest aqueduct. Corwen is immersed in history and heritage; learn about Owain Glyndwr, the self-proclaimed Prince of Wales, explore beautiful Rug Chapel and Langar Church, or climb through the heather to one of the most important Iron Age hill forts, Caer Drewyn, built around 800 BC.
