Cefn Berain Uchaf is a well-loved cottage praised for its beautiful, peaceful setting and cosy atmosphere. Guests enjoyed the spacious accommodation, hot tub, and thoughtful touches like fresh milk and cake on arrival. While some minor maintenance issues were noted, the overall experience was highly regarded, making it a recommended stay for families and large groups seeking a rural retreat in North Wales.
Most guests found the cottage to be clean and well-maintained, though there were a few reports of cleanliness issues such as a dirty jacuzzi and dusty areas. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule, hence the score reflects a generally high standard with room for improvement.
The location is consistently praised for its beautiful and peaceful rural setting with stunning views. It's within easy reach of local attractions and the coast, making it an excellent base for exploring North Wales. The seclusion adds to the charm, although the distance to shops was noted.
Guests were very pleased with the comfort of the cottage, mentioning the cosy atmosphere, underfloor heating, and comfortable beds. The spaciousness for large groups added to the comfort level. Some minor issues with squeaky beds and a warm interior on sunny days were mentioned.
The facilities, including a hot tub, games room, and well-equipped kitchen, were highlights for many guests. Children's amenities were appreciated, though some updates were suggested for the play area. Maintenance issues like a running toilet and the need for a tumble dryer were noted.
