Garth Cottage receives high praise for its comfort, stunning views, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, cleanliness, and the thoughtful touches provided by the hosts. The property's remote location offers tranquility and a chance to enjoy the Welsh countryside, with activities and amenities within reach. The presence of a welcome basket adds to the warm reception.
Guests consistently mention the property being very clean and well-maintained, with only minor comments about less visible areas needing attention. The overall impression is of a high standard of cleanliness.
The cottage's secluded setting in the Welsh countryside is highly appreciated for its peace and stunning views. Its proximity to local attractions and amenities is noted, although the rural roads leading to it are mentioned as narrow.
Numerous reviews highlight the comfortable beds, cosy log burner, and the spaciousness of the property, which accommodates large groups with ease. The separate lounges for adults and children are particularly appreciated.
The property is praised for its well-stocked kitchen, ample dining space, and additional amenities like internet and TV. Some minor issues with maintenance are noted, such as a delayed dishwasher replacement, but overall the facilities are highly regarded.
Guests are delighted by the thoughtful touches, including a welcome basket and the provision of games. While these gestures are warmly received, it is politely noted that such extras, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.
Just off the Denbigh Moors with Denbigh 4 miles away. Nestled down a quiet country lane, wrapped in sweeping green fields and rolling pastures of the idyllic North Wales countryside, is this traditional, detached and totally private cottage, tucked away near the thriving town of Denbigh. This charming 1824 stone-built cottage is simply perfect for those seeking a healthy break away with family and friends in a peaceful, rural location. There are gorgeous views across the hills, and a beautiful interior oozing character with a modernised finish. You will be delighted by the cosy setup from the moment you step through the door. Inside, guests will find two wonderful sitting rooms, one positioned on the first floor with access to a balcony, and one on the ground floor with a delightful woodburner in the Inglenook. Both sitting rooms are uplifted by large L-shaped sofas and bright refreshing colour schemes. A country cottage theme flows elegantly throughout. Make your way to the kitchen, designed for guests to gather together at the grand dining table to enjoy a fabulous set of integrated appliances and contemporary-style units. You will be impressed at the selection of flexible sleeping arrangements laid out in the five bedrooms. One is upstairs, four are downstairs, one being en-suite, served by a wonderfully modern bathroom with a tub, a large shower and quality, tiled finish. The town nearby offers a varied assortment of shops, bars, restaurants and pubs. The local is one of the oldest pubs in Wales, featuring its own in-house ghost, while the highest pub in Wales is also very close on the moors. In the town there are also the fascinating remains of a 13th century castle, commanding fabulous views out over picturesque landscapes including the Hiraethog mountains. If you fancy a day out at the seaside, Prestatyn and Llandudno are within easy reach. A day of shopping and exploring can be had in the historic city of Chester with its Roman Amphitheatre, charming Grosvenor Park, and the most visited zoo in the UK. For those who love walking and being outdoors there are many footpaths and bridleways in the immediate vicinity while Betws-y-Coed and Snowdonia National Park are an easy drive away. Right on the doorstep are the Denbigh Moors with the Llyn Brenig Activity Centre, and the beautiful Vale of Clwyd. This tremendous retreat makes an excellent base for touring North Wales and the North West. All within 45 minutes of Garth Cottage are Bodnant Gardens, Trefriw Woollen Mills, Offa's Dyke and Moel Famau, The Pilgrim's Way, Surf Snowdonia in Dolgarrog, ziplining in Conwy Valley, canoeing in Bala and white water rafting in Llangollen - super activities for everyone to enjoy.

region that, in 2017, Lonely Planet Traveller magazine deemed to be the
fourth best region in the whole world to visit
