Take a boat ride along the aqueduct on your own to get a closer look at the engineering feat and enjoy the scenery. Wrexham, where wonderful walking paths can be found near Nant Mill, and the National Trust's Erddig estate, which features beautiful gardens, are both easily accessible from the village. It had really good facilities and the views are outstanding, we even managed to negotiate the narrow roads without any damage. The walks from the cottage were throughly enjoyed by the dogs as was the log burner. Would definitely recommend.

The only drawback was the access to the property which is difficult being very steep with sharp bends.
