Chirk Castle and Erddig, both owned by the National Trust, are conveniently close by car, and six of the "Seven Wonders of Wales" can be seen along a single day's driving route. Walking along the crest of the Clwyd hills is a pleasure on the Offa's Dyke Path, which is conveniently located nearby. The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, a World Heritage Site, is only 5 miles away, and Snowdonia can be reached in under an hour.
