Just a short car journey away is Ty Mawr Country Park; the park is home to a handful of adorable animals to see while wandering the short but sweet path alongside the water and overlooking Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. Travelling further afield you will reach the historic town of Ruthin; lying in the heart of the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the town boasts plenty of walking and cycling opportunities to enjoy, along with the authentic Ruthin Indoor Market and Nantclwyd y Dre, Wales' oldest timber framed town house, where you can also explore the pretty gardens. Heading in the opposite direction, the lively city of Chester makes for a wonderful day out, exploring the City Walls, the magnificent Chester Cathedral, and the fantastic and renowned Chester Zoo.
