Guests say

Guests have had a delightful experience at Salem, praising its spaciousness, modern amenities, and original features. The property's cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful touches like fresh flowers have been appreciated. Its location is convenient for local attractions and amenities, with some minor noise issues noted. The hot tub and pool table are popular, enhancing the stay. Some guests experienced check-in difficulties, but overall, the property is highly recommended for groups and families.

Reviews consistently mention that the property is well maintained and clean. Guests have been pleased with the level of cleanliness throughout the property, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The property is well-located with easy access to local shops, pubs, beaches, and attractions like Conwy and Llandudno. Some guests noted a bit of noise from the street and neighbours, but this seems to be a minor concern.

Numerous reviews highlight the comfortable beds and spacious communal areas, which have been well-received by guests. The property's layout and furnishings contribute to a homely feel, ensuring a comfortable stay.

Facilities such as the hot tub, pool table, and well-equipped kitchen are frequently praised. However, there were minor comments about the need for additional serving bowls, wine glasses, and bath towels, suggesting slight room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

While guests have mentioned lovely touches like fresh flowers and cakes, there is not enough consistent information across reviews to fully assess the level of thoughtfulness. As such, while these gestures are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for all stays.

If you'd prefer an alfresco affair, be sure to set the patio table, located in the enclosed rear garden, where you can benefit from a barbecue on sunny days with a glass of wine in hand; end the evening with a soak in the indulgent hot tub, covered for privacy and convenience. On cooler nights, make use of the first-floor games room, featuring plenty of plush seating, a Smart TV for catching up on your latest programmes, and a pool table for some friendly competition. Slope off to sleep in one of six well-appointed bedrooms, two of which rest on the ground floor, whilst the master and three twins can be found on the first floor; two of the double bedrooms benefit from en-suite shower rooms, whilst the remaining guests can select between a handy shower room, and a luxurious ground-floor bathroom. If you can tear yourself away from this highly-appointed home, head into the village to stock up on the essentials and dine out, before traversing the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where you can hike up Graig Fawr and Gop Hi Cairn, before stopping for a round of golf at St Melyd Golf Club. Head to the coast to stroll along either Prestatyn Beach or Ffrith Beach, before venturing further into Rhyl, a bustling seaside town. Here you'll find a variety of amenities to ease your stay, along with Rhyl Beach, Zip World Rhyl, SeaQuarium Rhyl, SC2 Rhyl water park, Rhyl Harbour, and the Kinmel Dunes Local Nature Reserve, all worth adding to your itinerary for all types of visits. The village of Meliden has a history of lead mining, a neolithic burial mound called Gop Hill that offers panoramic views of the area, as well as good pubs/restaurants and shops. It is located only one mile from the lovely North Wales coast, between the historic village of Rhuddlan with its majestic castle and the well-known resort of Prestatyn. Prestatyn has a Blue Flag beach with miles of golden sand that is perfect for fishing, swimming, and other water sports.

This house was fantastic. Beautifully decorated to complement the houses character. Would definitely return. Great facilities we cooked a full Sunday roast with no problems.

The space works really well with the games room and the safe and secure outside area. The property has been renovated to a very high standard and was very well insulated (we had to turn all the heating down!). The photos don't do the space justice, maybe a floor plan might show guests how it works? As for 10 of us there was space for everyone to be together as well as have time apart. We loved how some of the old features of the chapel were included both inside and out! We would definitely come again!

Perfect for 3 families with young children enjoying some time together. Secure sealed fence with astroturf. Large rooms, pictures dont dhow off the size. Lovely original church features in a modern property. Able to close off stairs from downstairs living space which was handy with not having stairgates with us. Well equipped and great location. Owners very friendly and helpful in all communications. Would highly recommend and will definately return as still so much to explore in North Wales.
