It was lovely and warm when we arrived and everything was fresh and clean. Although the hot tub didn’t heat up on the first night it was spotless and ready for the next day. The only thing missing was a tea towel to dry the cutlery and crockery. We ate in the sports bar and it was very good. All the staff were chatty and helpful and we enjoyed our stay.

Just a couple of issues we had, the lodge was generally clean but there were quite a lot of cobwebs in corners and doorways when we looked closely, a little more attention to detail with the cleaning would be good. We were celebrating my friends hen do and we're disayri find out that on both nights of our stay the cocktail bar was booked for a private function and we couldn't use it. This was not mentioned to me when I booked and if we've paid to use all the facilities then we should be able to, it's not cheap to stay here. And finally on our first morning we went to the restaurant for breakfast and the man greeted us and asked for our lodge number and my name. As there were no menus and prices anywhere we then questioned whether this breakfast was included as part of our stay. When we were finished we asked a waitress who told us it was £14.95 each. This should really be advertised as we would not have paid this had we known.

Facilities on site very good for a relatively small site - pool, steam room, sauna, gym plus four places to eat and drink. Very good value for money. Great area to explore in north Wales. We did miss having a hob or traditional oven but aware of this prior to arrival. Microwave (combi) and toaster available. Hot tub checks done daily by site staff but on two occasions we came back to the lodge to find the back access door had not been locked - despite having reported this on the first occasion to reception. Lovely break overall and would come back. Thank you
