Dove Cottage in Ruthin is highly praised for its cleanliness, cosy comfort, and stunning views. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, and excellent shower. The cottage's central location is ideal for exploring the town and surrounding countryside. The thoughtful touches, such as tea and Welsh cakes, add to the welcoming atmosphere, although such gifts are not guaranteed.
Reviewers consistently mention the cleanliness of Dove Cottage, describing it as the cleanest property some have stayed in, very clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
The location is frequently highlighted as great, with easy access to local amenities, stunning countryside, and a central position in Ruthin, making it perfect for both local exploration and wider adventures in North Wales.
Comfort is a strong point for Dove Cottage, with guests finding the beds extremely comfortable and the living space cosy. The peaceful environment contributes to a relaxing stay, although one review mentioned dining discomfort due to high kitchen tables.
Facilities at Dove Cottage are well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and superb shower. However, a slight deduction is made due to a single comment about the lack of initial recycling information and the mismatched height of the kitchen table and chairs.
Guests feel welcomed by thoughtful gestures like tea and Welsh cakes on arrival, and the owner's responsiveness. It should be noted that such personal touches, while appreciated, may vary and are not guaranteed.

The cottage was clean, cosy and pleasantly decorated. It was easy to drop off luggage and there was plentiful 24 hour public parking at a very reasonable price, at several locations close by. I would happily return.

Very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed staying at Dove cottage. Very good location for walking around the town, if staying local. Or venturing further. The overnight parking was very close and only £4 a day. The owner was excellent to deal with. So just perfect for us.
