About this property

Settled on the outskirts of St Asaph in Denbighshire is this unique, pet-friendly shepherd's hut, The Suffolk. The hut is a converted railway wagon with plenty of character, a private gated entrance with off-road parking, and a studio-style layout beautifully appointed for two guests to enjoy a romantic holiday in North Wales. The open-plan living space has a double bed with a wall-mounted TV and DVD player, a dining area for two, and a kitchen equipped with the essentials to prepare evening meals, along with a separate wet room. On summer evenings, you can open the double doors to let the outside in, where your private garden has two quirky cinema seats to relax with a glass of wine or dine alfresco using the chiminea. You'll be surrounded by the idyllic countryside of the Vale of Clwyd with plenty of walks to discover on your doorstep, while the centre of St Asaph is a short journey away, along with White House for relaxing spa treatments, The Dinorben Arms and the Plough which are all dog friendly. Note: This property can be booked with Refs. 955259, 963409 & 1008132, together sleeping up to 8 guests.

St Asaph, with a population of 3500, was granted city status in 2012. St Asaph, North Wales, overlooks the rivers Clwyd and Elwy in the Vale of Clwyd, six miles between Denbigh and Rhyl. The city has riverbank parkland, a children's play area, and scenic river walks where you can observe kingfishers, sparrow hawks, and buzzards. St Asaph has the smallest, oldest cathedral in Britain, dating back 1400 years. It was also the site of the 16th-century Welsh Bible translation. In September, the North Wales International Music festival visits to town, ending in a televised finale from the cathedral. St Asaph features traditional pubs, gastronomic dining, craft and gift stores, a 9-hole golf course, horse riding, angling, and crown green bowling, as well as a bustling leisure centre and the Tweedmill Retail Outlet. A great place to explore North Wales.

Our dogs especially liked the large enclosed garden and space to roam. Would definitely recommend for a doggie break and a chill out.
