Guests have had a pleasant experience at the Tryfan property, consistently praising the warm welcome from the hosts, often highlighted by the homemade Bara Brith. The location is ideal for exploring North Wales and Snowdonia, with easy access to local attractions. The accommodation is described as comfortable and clean, though some guests noted minor issues with facilities. Overall, the property provides a cosy base for a holiday in Bangor.
The majority of guests found the property clean and comfortable. However, one review mentioned dust and dirt in the extractor fans, suggesting room for improvement in cleanliness.
The property's location is highly praised for being central and convenient for exploring Snowdonia, Anglesey, and local attractions, with several guests commenting on the ease of access to desired destinations.
Guests generally found the property comfortable, with a particularly comfortable bed mentioned. However, some guests noted the lack of certain amenities such as a place to hang coats or an airer for wet clothes, and one review mentioned the property might not be suitable for older people due to the breakfast bar seating.
Facilities were adequate for most guests, but some noted the absence of items like deeper bowls, a shower seat for disabled guests, and a window in the kitchen. The lack of mobile phone reception was mentioned, but Wi-Fi was available for communication.
The hosts' thoughtfulness was frequently mentioned, with many guests delighted by the homemade Bara Brith and fresh eggs. It should be noted that while such gestures are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.
Tryfan is a cosy, studio-style apartment, with a welcoming open plan living area, including a kitchenette with breakfast bar and combination oven and microwave and a comfy sitting room. The bedroom is separated from the living room by a central wall and the bed is accessed through two open doorways to either side. The bathroom has been designed with a wet room floor and double doors into it giving plenty of space to shower in comfort. Outside a communal gravel courtyard offers off road parking and a private table and chairs for you to use, perhaps enjoying a good book and glass of wine whilst taking in the sounds of the countryside. A lovely holiday apartment to use as a base for walking and exploring, all year long. Note: This apartment can be booked with Ref 931576 next door, together they sleep 4.

Loved the one level nature of the unit - highly recommended

It's a small property but perfectly adequate for a couple of nights. The real downside is that the village has absolutely no facilities, so transport is essential.

Ian is very warm and welcoming, and had baked us a lovely bara brith. Well situated for exploring North Wales.
