In a superb location in the heart of North Wales, Bangor is a thriving university town close to the coast with a good range of shops and eateries and boasts the accolade of having the longest high street in Wales. Snowdonia is close by and offers a range of exciting activities such as walking, hiking and cycling with some breath-taking scenery to enjoy along the way. Just a short distance from Bangor is the crossing over the Menai Straits onto the stunning island of Anglesey which is well worth a day out from Bangor. Here you will find a great choice of beaches including Trearrdur Bay, Newborough, Rhosneigr and Benllech. Attractions here include horse riding at Anglesey Riding Centre, farm fun and games at Foel Farm Park, underwater creatures at Anglesey Sea Zoo and fascinating historical insights at the National Trust site at Plas Newydd.
