About this property

5 The Crescent is a delightful, stone-fronted cottage, tucked away in the village of Llandwrog, five miles from the royal town of Caernarfon, Gwynedd. Perfect for pet-friendly getaways, the property is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is just a short stroll away from a local pub and 1.5 miles from the beach, making it a wonderful base for a North Wales adventure. The side access takes you indoors to find the homely sitting room, with beams overhead, two plush sofas to sink into, and a TV for entertainment, use this space to relax after a day of hiking, sightseeing, and discovering the local area. The kitchen/diner is fully-equipped and features a sleek design, where you can rustle up delicious meals, to be enjoyed around the breakfast bar for four, rounding off your evening with a refreshing glass of wine, or head into the rear garden, a haven for alfresco mealtimes and socialising. Complete your nightly routine in the contemporary bathroom, selecting between a long soak or a revitalising shower, before sloping off to sleep in either the double or twin bedrooms. Whether you want to explore or simply relax, the area surrounding 5 The Crescent has something to offer for everyone. Groeslon and neighbouring Caernarfon are full of interesting history, with the 13th-century castle in Caernarfon, Inigo Jones Slate Works in Groeslon, and plenty of local pubs, shops, and restaurants for you to visit between the two. With the fantastic stretch of Dinas Dinlle beach just 1.5miles away, spend the day basking in the sunshine, building sandcastles, or enjoying a dip and dolphin spotting, before devouring a bag of fish and chips from The Surfer Chippy in the shadow of the iron-age hillfort. Leave the car parked at the beach and walk down to visit the coastal fortress of Belan Fort and the Foryd Nature Reserve beyond. The Lon Las Eifion cycle track also passes a stone's throw from the property and runs Easterly to Caernarfon, Y Felinheli, Bangor and to Bethesda up the Ogwen Valley beyond, or Westerly to Porthmadog. Grab the car and travel north to nearby Anglesey for its iconic beaches and quaint towns; from walking to birdwatching, days out to family activities, you can make the most of the wonderful natural scenery and attractions that are all within easy reach, or reroute south, and enjoy all that the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park has to offer. All the people we met in the village were friendly. Our only gripe is with the search criteria on Sykes website. We stated we wanted "a pub within one mile" sadly we were not told that the pub was closed for refurbishment and had been for some time!!!

Settees and bed were really comfortable, and new bathroom and kitchen. The garden was a great size and enclosed so we could let our dog out without having to worry she would get out. We would definitely stay here again

No problems at all. Perfect for two people. Loved the island in the kitchen, it was much bigger than we expected. Only things we could comment on was the freezer compartment needs defrosting (looks like it had been left open and it’s iced up) and the knives need a sharpen. Otherwise we loved it and will book again.
