This seaside town is situated just 5 miles from Porthmadog, with its 13th century castle offering views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia mountains. Watersports enthusiasts will be delighted by the two beaches, whilst walkers and bikers are spoilt for choice with many trails beckoning you to the Snowdonia National Park. Further afield, attractions such as Portmeirion’s Italianate gardens, the Ffestiniog railway, Harlech Castle and the golf courses of the Llyn Peninsula are all within an easy drive.

    Lovely host and hostess made us very welcome. Recommend the tapas restaurant especially the sharing platter, steak, chicken, sausage, chunky chips, salad.£25 excellent value, very friendly staff, chief came out to make sure all good. Fish and chip shop on high street again good value. Definitely going back.
