Flexible arrival day, and short breaks available all year round! Stylish Borth y Gest coastal cottage for 2, just yards from the harbour and a short walk to pretty sandy bays and the Llyn Coastal Path.

Coastal cottage for two (adults only). A perfect coastal cottage all year round just 50 yards from the harbour at Borth y Gest, a pretty little hamlet with good places to eat out if you wish!

The harbour is encircled by attractive Victorian houses and the bay full of sailing boats in the summer season. Enjoy watching the activities while relaxing with a coffee at the Sea View Cafe or dinner at the highly acclaimed Moorings Restaurant. Dine outside among the fairy lights on warm summer evenings - quite magical!

This comfortable, cosy, pristine cottage is tucked away just a short stroll from the harbour. The cottage is painted a Mediterranean white throughout and is a perfect backdrop for the colourful chairs, cushions and pictures that adorn the walls. Patio doors lead from the lounge onto decking which surrounds the property - an ideal suntrap - eat or sunbathe outside - and there are blankets provided for cooler evenings!

The bedroom consists of twin beds that can be joined together to form a kingsize bed (please request at time of booking) and the adjoining shower room has a shaver point and supply of toiletries.

The stable door from the terraced area at the front of the cottage leads into the well-equipped, immaculately presented kitchen, a lovely large, sunny room, with cream fitted units. The farmhouse style table in the large bay window overlooks a bank of spring daffodils and hydrangea, is flooded in the morning sunshine. From here whilst enjoying your welsh breakfast, the local friendly robins and shy family of blue tits may be observed, as they search for their morning morsels.

The owners supply a generous welcoming tray of local welsh produce, including homemade scones, welsh butter, jam, honey and marmalade, a bottle of fine French wine & fresh flowers when available. For your convenience basic essentials are also provided, generous amounts of quality tea, ground & instant coffee, milk, granulated sugar plus brown & white cube sugar, salt, pepper, cooking oil, dishwasher tablets & washing powder.

Walk up the steps at the side of the cottage into woodland - Parc y Borth Nature Reserve, where numerous footpaths take you through oak woodlands and wildflower meadows, home to a large variety of birds including spotted woodpeckers and pied flycatchers. Listen to the wonderful dawn chorus in the early mornings and at night you may hear the hoot of the tawny owls which also inhabit these woods.

The property takes its name (Y Gestiana) from the last schooner to be built in 1913 in the Porthmadog shipyards. Sadly wrecked off Canada on her maiden voyage but thankfully with no loss of life.

Shower Room corner shower, toilet and washbasin, thermostatically controlled towel rail. large fluffy bath sheets and bathrobes supplied.

Kitchen lovely large room with sofa, overlooking a bank of hydrangea on the footpath to the nature reserve. Fully fitted cream units, blue tiles, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer. Dining table 2 chairs. Bluetooth speakers. Generous welcome pack.

Sitting Room 1 x 2 seater sofas, 2 wing chairs, bright coordinated coloured upholstery, coffee table, TV/DVD, with a choice of DVDs, and a selection of books including about places of interest in North Wales, together with local maps, electric-style wood burner (extremely effective), large wall clock, interesting pictures, table lamp, standard lamp. Patio doors onto decking.

Grounds the cottage is surrounded by decking, on 3 sides with a small patio with table and chairs and views to the front of the harbour. Privately located to the rear, is a garden table and chairs, together with sun umbrella, perfect for summer breakfasts and alfresco dining during warm sunny days. Deck chairs and blankets for cooler evenings are also available.
