Guests say

Guests have praised Bwthyn Celyn (Holly Cottage) for its stunning location with views of mountains and sea, cosy atmosphere, and friendly owners. The property offers a peaceful setting, ideal for family stays, and is well-situated for exploring local attractions. While some minor maintenance issues were noted, the overall experience was highly enjoyable, with particular appreciation for the clean, warm, and welcoming environment.

Reviews consistently mention that the cottage was clean, which suggests high standards of cleanliness. The absence of negative comments on cleanliness supports a high score.

The location is frequently highlighted as stunning, peaceful, and ideal for exploring the peninsula. The views and proximity to local areas of interest contribute to a very positive rating.

Comfort is generally praised, with mentions of a cosy cottage and a lovely wet room. However, a few guests found the mattress hard and the bedroom layout slightly inconvenient, slightly lowering the score.

Facilities are well-received with a few maintenance issues such as a broken plug socket and temperamental taps. The presence of a wet room and internet are positives, but the mentioned issues suggest room for improvement.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Very comfortable and settled in quickly. Our 2 sons (10&13) loved it. Had everything we needed for our 5 night trip. Definitely would return. Thank you.

The cottage was comfortable for the three of us and the dog and the owners were very friendly and were happy to give advice about eateries in the local area. The only negatives (which always tend to come in threes) were: that there were no instructions to the cottage as in rules or what the owners wanted us do do with the towels and linen at the end of the holiday There was a broken plug socket in the front room which looked decidedly dodgey The fridge would be triggering to those who are affected by strobe lighting Other than that we had a lovely time and wouldn’t mind staying again. Thank you for a great week!

Cottage was perfect for us, lovely scenery and not too far from Pwllheli. Amazing downstairs wet room, would come back for that alone!!! Owners family were all lovely, friendly and helpful. (if we lived close they are the type of people we would love as friends). Thanks for a great holiday.
