Afonwen 3.2 miles. Nestled in the peaceful hamlet of Llangybi near Afonwen, Clwyd is this idyllic, Grade II listed cottage, Fron Heulog. With country walks on your doorstep and some of the best beaches and attractions of North Wales nearby, this is a wonderful base for a family and pet-friendly holiday. Pull into the private gravelled driveway and admire the peaceful scene of the picturesque cottage and rural surroundings, before stepping inside your home-from-home. Inside you'll find plenty of cottage character creating homely rooms, as well as stylish, contemporary updates and artwork. Underfloor heating warms your feet whilst you rustle up a home-cooked meal in the kitchen/diner, complete with excellent amenities, including an Espresso coffee machine to kick-start your mornings, and seating for six guests to eat together or socialise over your favourite drinks after the day's adventures. A snug sitting room features white, wooden beams, a beautiful inglenook fireplace with a woodburning stove to warm the room and two large, inviting sofas; help yourself to the selection of books and games or choose a film for evening entertainment. A pet-friendly cottage, Fron Heulog welcomes one well-behaved dog to curl up in front of the woodburner after a long day following you on your adventures. When it's time to retire for the evening, head upstairs to find three lovely bedrooms all with their own unique décor, plenty of storage space to unpack your belongings, and views out to the quaint countryside. Choose from a king-size, a double or a single and rest your head ready for a day along the Welsh coast or wandering through a picture-perfect village. Relax in the bubble bath or energise your day with a hot shower in the chic bathroom, featuring attractive grey tiling and the added comfort of a heated towel rail. With the sun setting on the rolling hills, make the most of the fantastic surroundings by dining alfresco in Fron Heulog's rear garden with a raised decking area, barbecue and outdoor seating. The gardens are pet-friendly and enclosed so your canine companion is free to roam in safety. The hamlet of Llangybi offers country walks in quiet locations, with the historic St Cybi's Well within easy reach, whilst the charming village of Afonwen is just a short journey away for your self-catering needs, such as shops, two traditional pubs and an award-winning butcher/delicatessen. Pack your towels, buckets and spades and drive to the Llŷn Peninsula's world-class beaches, such as Nefyn and Porth Dinllaen, or soak up the history in nearby towns and villages. Pwllheli is a bustling market town with a contemporary marina to wander along with ice cream in hand, before heading to art galleries, a fantastic watersports centre or taking coastal cruises with opportunities to spot seals, dolphins and a variety of birdlife. Afonwen is a lively village nestled between the northern edge of the Clwydian Hill Range and the sandy beaches along the North Wales Coast. There are fantastic amenities available, such as two pubs, an award-winning butcher/delicatessen and a general shop. Guests can enjoy the village bowling green and tennis court, or enjoy fantastic walking and cycling trails. Afonwen is a peaceful base to explore the likes of Mold, Denbigh, Ruthin and Prestatyn.
