Nestled at the foot of the Skirrid, you will find Finmia on the eastern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park and near the Wye Valley. A wealth of walking trails from your front door will guide you across the rugged farmland to the Skirrid, from whose top you can see stunning 360 degree views across to the Sugar Loaf and Hatterrall Ridge. For cyclists, there are many peaceful lanes and off road downhill trails to explore, as well as the beautiful River Wye for the more adventurous, with its canoeing and kayaking trips. The region is also rich in history; you can explore many castles set within the vibrant market towns of Abergavenny, Crickhowell and Brecon, and there are many local events including the Usk Show and Abergavenny Food Festival, that are a must. Larger than the average shepherd's hut, this gorgeous accommodation is beautifully finished and set within a cluster of well secluded, similar properties. Step inside the open plan space which has been well thought out, offering a kitchenette with convection oven/grill, microwave, induction hob and fridge with ice compartment; and a dining area with solid wooden stools along with comfortable armchairs for two and a wood burner. There is a built in double bed with Smart TV where you can enjoy a film before a peaceful night s rest. There is also a shower room with a shower and WC and unusually, the property benefits from the luxury of underfloor heating. Outside, you can enjoy the enclosed, landscaped garden, where there is a private hot tub for two with cover, a multi jet shower, and a sauna perfect for relaxing after a strenuous day of walking. The exterior is completed with a comfortable seating area, a hammock, fire pit ,and a gas BBQ for cooking, and a storage box. Need to know: 1 double bedroom. 1 shower room with WC. Induction hob, convection oven/grill and microwave, and fridge with ice compartment. Wood burner (logs available on site at extra cost). Underfloor heating. Smart TV. Dressing gowns. Enclosed garden with seating, hammock, gas BBQ and fire pit. Private hot tub and private sauna. Allocated parking for 1 car. Pub and restaurant 1 mile, shop 3 miles. Tearoom on site open 9am 5pm Thursday to Monday. Trout fishing 6 miles away, please bring your own equipment day licences available. Foldable e bikes/mountain bikes available for hire (please contact owner to book in advance). Deposit of 50 collected by owner on arrival. Regret no children, infants or babies.
