The Coach House is a fantastic family holiday home for up to nine guests. Positioned just inside the incredible Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons National Park) it is on the edge of the Monmouthshire market town of Abergavenny. The Coach House offers original features, spacious rooms, a large garden and gorgeous scenery and surroundings. After you've parked up in the ample off-road parking area, admiring the old coach house clock resting atop the owner's adjoining office, be welcomed through the side entrance, passing the pretty flowers hugging the side of the house. Discover a charming lobby area with seating, perfect for sitting with a book, before finding the first sitting room to the left, home to a spacious outlook with large windows looking out to the garden, along with plenty of seating and a TV. Pass one of the two ground-floor cloakrooms with a basin and WC, before finding the dining room to the left of the entrance, with an electric fire and long dining table, you can enjoy delicious meals in the company of your loved ones. Travel up a few steps and into the homely kitchen/diner, noticing straight away the striking red AGA range cooker sitting amidst an array of excellent appliances, as well as a dining table and chair and an attractive, traditional dresser. The second sitting room is perfect for enjoying a quiet moment away from the group, with further plush seating and a TV, while a decorative woodburning stove with a vintage fireguard sits in the heart of the room adding further character. A set of ornate metal, spiral stairs from this room will take you up to the first bedroom, boasting a king-size bed with beautiful curtains positioned on the Velux windows affording plenty of light into the room, and served by an en-suite bathroom. The rest of the bedrooms can be found by following the main staircase up to the first floor, comprising of two king-size bedrooms, one with a basin and mirror, and a single bedroom, served by a shower room, while the final bedroom is a master king-size featuring an incredible en-suite bathroom with a seven-foot, metal, roll-top bathtub enjoying a unique and traditional plug which is sure to elevate your sumptuous soak! Another wonderful addition to this already excellent property is the two large garden areas, boasting luscious green lawns to play on with little ones and patio areas for alfresco dining at the outdoor furniture. All the nearest amenities to the property are around a mile away including shops and pubs, while the heart of Abergavenny is within easy reach, home to the annual Abergavenny Food Festival with an array of gastro pubs and ancient inns, alongside regular markets and Abergavenny Castle and Museum, all in the shadow of Sugar Loaf Mountain. Visit the remains of the 18th-century industrial complex of Blaenavon Ironworks, with an impressive blast furnace and quaint worker's cottages still furnished, while the Blaenavon World Heritage Centre offers a wonderful insight into the village's coal and iron industries via interactive exhibits. Discover the beautiful, rich countryside of the Brecon Beacons starting with a walk up Sugar Loaf Mountain, affording stunning views of Abergavenny, mid-Wales and south-west England. Reveal a world of adventure in this vast national park with a range of outdoor activities to enjoy at places like Llangors Lake where you can go fishing, hire boats and equipment for canoeing, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding, and even go water-skiing on the lake, while the nearby Llangorse Multi Activity Centre boasts climbing walls, horse riding, caving, abseiling and much more for even more excitement. The picturesque market town of Abergavenny, the Gateway to Wales, nestles between the seven mountains which surround it, with the River Usk flowing through it, so there are beautiful views in every direction. Beautiful walks through the Wye Valley and Vale of Usk, or along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal are close by or explore the breathtaking Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains. With abbeys, castles, mining museums and a Roman amphitheatre and baths at nearby Caerleon, there is something different to discover every day of your holiday.
