The cottage has everything you could ask for, with two well-furnished bedrooms and a bathroom with a bath and shower over. You can bring the outdoors in as French doors open to the enclosed garden with decking area, a fantastic place to gather the group together to enjoy a barbecue in the evenings. An intriguing market town on the border between Wales and England and close to the exceptional Offas Dyke, this wonderful town combines old and new, from the old castle ruins to the vibrant weekly market. Located at the confluence of 3 rivers the Wye, the Monnow and the Trothy, it is an excellent base to enjoy river boating, scenic walks and a little shopping too, or to sit and relax on the edge of the river and watch the rowers who regularly race and practise their skills.

The house had a spacious living room and although the kitchen isn't very big it was perfectly adequate for holiday meals. There is a downstairs toilet as well as a lovely bathroom and 2 spacious bedrooms. The weather was hot and the wind out awning over the patio kept the living room cooler. The owner had also kindly included a fan on the landing. The area is full of history and we visited Raglan Castle and Tintern Abbey. Checkout The Gateway cinema at Ross , we were lucky enough to find a showing of Les Miserables, with a talk from a chap who had played various roles in the West End. It was the highlight of our holiday.

The property is well equiped and confortable and is close to all amenities and just a short walk to the town shops etc. There are a couple of suggestions i would like to make to further enhance the holday experience. 1/ provide a clock in the living room. 2/ change the tv in the living room for a larger screen.
