Guests say

Saddlers Cottage at Berllandeg Farm offers a delightful rural retreat with welcoming hosts and a variety of friendly farm animals that add charm to the stay. Guests appreciate the peaceful surroundings, the opportunity to interact with the animals, and the cottage's role as a comfortable base for exploring Pembrokeshire. The presence of fresh eggs and the warmth of the hosts are frequently mentioned, enhancing the overall experience.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and well-maintained, though there were isolated comments about areas that could benefit from additional attention, such as under beds and behind headboards. However, these were exceptions in the overall positive feedback.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity and proximity to local attractions, with guests enjoying the rural setting and the ease of access to nearby beaches and towns. The farm setting provided a unique and appreciated aspect of the stay.

Guests generally found the cottage comfortable, with a few noting that the size and arrangement of furniture could be improved for better ease of movement, especially for families with small children. Overall, the comfort level was satisfactory for most visitors.

The cottage is well-equipped and guests are satisfied with the amenities provided. Some minor issues were raised regarding maintenance, such as a loose blind and a TV that occasionally switches off, but these did not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.

While guests frequently mention the warm welcome and the provision of fresh eggs, there is not enough information to determine if these are consistent offerings or occasional gestures. Therefore, it is politely noted that such thoughtful touches, while appreciated, may not be guaranteed for all stays.

Martin and Lavinia were wonderful hosts who made sure our girls had hands-on experiences with the animals, of which there were some truly loveable characters. Alpacas, goats, donkeys, horses, chickens, pigeons and the adorable family dog. The cottage was well equipped and well positioned to visit so many gorgeous spots along the coastline. Pembrokeshire never fails to disappoint. We’d love to visit again one day. Don’t flick past this one!

We had a great experience with the animals especially the 2 baby Alpacas born while we were there. Martin was eager for us to see the babies and was very knowledgeable about all the animals. Its just a pity we were out when they were born. Russel the crow also likes to be stroked which was interesting. Cwtch the farm dog also welcomed us every time we were going out and returning (but he liked his treats) If the night sky is clear you can reach out and touch the stars, beautiful to see. All in all with the Alpacas, Angora goats, Horses, donkeys, Chickens, Cwtch Russel the crow and our hosts Martin and Lavinia we had a very peaceful and relaxing holiday. Phil and Lynn.

Lavinia and Martin (and Cwtch!!) were the best hosts - a lovely, peaceful location and lots of wonderful animals on the farm to meet. Great spot to reach lots of local places and attractions. Comfortable, home-from- home cottage to come back to after a day out. We loved it so much we definitely want to go back - can’t recommend this place enough (and have been to anyone that will listen!!)
