Offering a distinguished blend between contemporary styling and traditional elements, this converted granary cottage offers a splendid place to stay in rural West Wales. Situated in Pembrokeshire, a national park area famed for its striking coastal beauty, you’re well-positioned to explore so many thrilling outdoor pursuits within the vicinity of the property, including exciting boat trips towards Ramsey Island and Skomer Island. Offering a warm Welsh welcome from the moment you step inside, the cottage offers space for four guests and a dog to call their own, an opportune place to stay for small families or a couple seeking some extra space.
Venture up the gravelled driveway and pass an outdoor seating area equipped with a BBQ, made for alfresco nights. Once indoors, you’ll be greeted by an inviting home-from-home space in the lounge/kitchen/diner, a place with exposed stonework and stone-flagged flooring adding to its character. Curl up by the warming wood burner effect electric fire with your feet up on the sofa, switching on the TV to fill your evening. Of course, you can instead sit up at the dining table and embrace a board game-filled evening before retiring to bed. Sitting alongside a family bathroom, the first floor offers three lovely bedrooms, a double and two singles, each as comfortable as the last.
Setting off from home, take the gentle 3.5-mile stroll into the nearby seaside village of Solva. This traditional destination offers a harbour, streets lined with pleasant pastel buildings and a lively fishing culture. Following the coastal pathway, move onto Porthmynawyd Beach (5.5 miles), an idyllic cove with rockpools and rugged cliff scenery, dog friendly all year round. Moving in the opposite direction, a trip to Whitesands Bay (8 miles) is essential in good weather, allowing you to sunbathe, enjoy ballgames on the sand or try your hand at surfing in the lively waters.
