Stable doors then lead through into a charming open-plan living space where the kitchen/diner is neatly separated from the lounge with a causal breakfast bar. All stone-flagged and featuring exposed brickwork, this sociable area is entirely attractive and homely. After a night curled up by the wood burner effect electric fire, move up to the double bedroom upstairs. Next door, a bright en-suite completes the space.

The pleasant seaside village of Solva offers pastel-coloured buildings, a harbour beach for fishing and crabbing, and a bustling selection of cafes and shops just 3.5 miles away. It’s located on the wider Pembrokeshire Coast Path which offers 186 miles of seemingly endless scenery, pristine beaches and immaculate cliff-top views. Head westwards along the coast path to reach the spectacular Caerfai Beach (6.5 miles) and on to Porthlysgi Bay (9 miles) where you can admire uninterrupted views out across Ramsey Island. To take a boat trip around the island, head towards the harbour at St Justinian's (10 miles).
