Guests say

Guests have praised the holiday rental for its quiet location, cleanliness, and thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack. The property is described as comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and modern amenities like a smart TV and Echo Dots. While some guests suggest minor updates and maintenance could enhance the experience, the overall sentiment is positive, with many looking forward to returning.

The property is consistently described as 'spotlessly clean', indicating a high standard of cleanliness. However, one mention of cobwebs suggests there is room for improvement.

The property's location is appreciated for its quietness and proximity to sandy beaches and local amenities. The lack of negative comments about the location suggests guests are satisfied.

Comfort is highlighted with mentions of 'comfy beds' and an 'excellent' walk-in shower for less mobile guests. Some guests found the beds only 'ok', indicating a slightly lower score.

Facilities like a well-provided kitchen, smart TV, and WiFi are positively noted. However, comments about dated aspects and the need for updates, as well as a minor WIFI issue, suggest a good but not perfect score.

The provision of cots and high chairs, along with a welcome gift, show a high level of thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, may not be guaranteed for every stay.

About this property

Kilgetty 2.3 miles. Resting in the quiet hamlet of Broadmoor near Kilgetty, Pembrokeshire lies this traditional, single-storey bungalow, 13 Lyndhurst Avenue. With the coast just a short drive away and a range of amenities within easy reach, this property is a fantastic base for a family trip to South Wales. On arrival at the bungalow, off-road parking makes uploading your bags an easy affair. Step into the property to find a spacious living/dining room where you can kick off your shoes and relax on the L-shape sofa to watch TV, or dine with your loved ones at the dining table over a delicious meal. Continuing through the home, the kitchen offers all the appliances you need for a self-catered break, including an electric oven and induction hob, perfect for feeding the family after a day of exploring. On the warmer evenings, take advantage of the outdoor space to the front and rear of the property. When sleep calls, choose from three bedrooms, each fit with storage for your belongings; the master bedroom hosts a double with an en-suite bathroom with a level-access shower, while the remaining two bedrooms consist of another double and a single. If you don't feel like cooking one evening, The Cross Inn gastropub is within walking distance and offers a delicious pub-grub menu. For days out, be sure to visit the delightful coastal towns resting just a scenic car journey away, including Saundersfoot and Tenby. The nearby Saundersfoot is home to picture-perfect beaches which are lovely in the height of summer, or on a crisp winter's day for a walk; you will also find a handful of eateries to keep you fuelled on your excursions. Slightly further afield is the popular resort of Tenby, known for its historic Castle Beach, quaint streets, home to Tudor Merchant's House, and the rugged off-shore attraction, St Catherine's Island. Take yourself further from the coast and head inland for a day out at Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, and the Manor Wildlife Park, perfect for children and animal lovers alike! 13 Lyndhurst Avenue is a superb base for your next adventure to South Wales.

Kilgetty is a rural settlement located 2.4 miles from Cresswell Quay, one of Pembrokeshire's most scenic villages. Cresswell Quay is best described as a charming hamlet of scattered houses on the edge of the tidal estuary. The historic quay, of course, is the focal point, where boats can still anchor for as long as the tide allows, and you might want to stop by the Cresselly Arms for some light refreshments. It's only a short drive from Tenby and has its own train station, as well as a variety of shops and pubs. Kilgetty is close to a number of attractions, including the coastal resorts of Saundersfoot and Tenby, which offer fantastic beaches, watersports, and boat tours to Caldey Island, which is home to a small group of monks and their monastery. In the area, there's also the award-winning Folly Farm, which is a terrific family day out and allows you to see a functioning farm in action. The largest wooden rollercoaster in Europe, Oakwood Theme Park, is a 10-minute drive away, and the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline and the coastal National Park, a walker's paradise, are all within easy reach.

In places it could do with a little updating , the hall floor gives in places suggesting floor boards need attention which is a little alarming when you have mobility issues. The shower in the main bedroom is excellent for the less mobile, and the kitchen well equipped. We enjoyed the TV with Netflix. A small WIFI Problem was sorted very quickly by the owner, who offered to visit if needed. Both double beds not the comfiest but were ok.
