Snaptrip says

Lyndale is a well-regarded cottage in Newport, praised for its homely feel, ample space, and stunning views. Guests have enjoyed the social aspects of the house, its convenient location, and the outdoor areas. While there have been minor maintenance issues and cleanliness oversights, the overall experience has been positive, with many looking forward to returning.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property has received comments about cobwebs and a dirty barbecue, suggesting room for improvement in cleanliness. However, these appear to be isolated incidents rather than a general trend.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the village, sea, and local attractions like Newport sands and the golf course, making it an ideal spot for guests.

The house is described as accommodating and comfortable, with enough space for multiple families. The presence of multiple bathrooms and a well-stocked kitchen contribute to the comfort level, despite minor issues with a bedroom door.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-stocked kitchen and enjoyable outdoor areas. However, points are deducted for maintenance issues like the failing door lock and the misaligned on-suite door lock.

While guests have expressed gratitude for the experience, there is no specific mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, this score cannot be assessed.

We have just spent 5 nights there in mid-May 2024, and loved both the house and the very welcoming village of Newport. Driveway took 2 cars, our 3rd car was parked on the road just in front. The kitchen is very well stocked: glasses, crockery & cutlery aplenty. Large welcoming kitchen table will easily accommodate 9 folks and more. Superb fridge & freezer. My only tiny point for the owners: the drainage in the back Double En Suite bathroom is slow, both from the hand basin, and from the shower/bath. At first I thought there might be a blockage. This did not seem to be the case - when I removed both plugs the water shot down the drain with gusto. The shower/bath plug has a mesh basket attached which really slows down drainage. Once the plug is lifted out, the bath drains very rapidly. The slow drainage from the hand basin is more of a mystery, perhaps a dose of Drain Unblocker Gloop might assist? In summary, we all loved our stay in Lyndale, and I would say that it's the best equipped house I have ever rented. The Ground Floor Shower area is a stroke of genius, and we found the house & contents absolutely spotless. Huge thank you to the owners.

Short walks into the village and to the sea make it an ideal location. The layout of the house, terraces and lawn make for a very comfortable stay whatever the weather. Newport sands and the golf course are close by as are other favourites like Cwm yr Eglwys. Thank you Sam and Richard and thank you for the bottle too!

Lack of clean pans for cooking. Filthy barbecue. Outdoor furniture unusable all cushions soaked when we arrived. Latest arrival time and earliest departure time we have ever had. Will not use this property again.
