The location receives high praise for its tranquillity, stunning views, and easy access to both mountain trails and the town's amenities. Its unique position is a highlight for many visitors.

The cottage is well-equipped, with a wood-burning stove and thoughtful reading lights. However, there are remarks about the need for a better shower or bath, and anticipation for an upstairs bathroom installation.

We had a wonderful stay.

We loved the real fires and cosy atmosphere here. Friendly donkeys at the end of the garden were a bonus! John the owner was welcoming and warm. We enjoyed visiting Newport, which was a short walk away and has a variety of shops, Monday market and plenty of places to eat. A wonderful stay and we hope to return.

, and so peaceful. The cottage was very comfortable and the supply of logs much appreciated. It was nice to have easy to use, straight forward appliances - do the job and you donât have to stress over how to use the multifunctional oven or variety of hobs! Good food, including breakfasts, at Blas in Newport. Monty (the dog) enjoyed his week as guardian of the gateway to Carningli and making friends with John.
