Met the lovely owner both times. Really well decorated and comfortable one bed property, loads of space. Secure back garden for the dog (spaniel) was excellent. Favourite place was The Parrog, which is the river side of Newport beach, the dog was in his element.

The enclosed garden is perfect, especially with a bouncy 5 month old puppy who is keen to explore. We were kept well informed about an issue with the mains water on the day of our arrival, otherwise left to enjoy the property. This was our first holiday with the dog, so more details ahead of time about pet rules would have been useful - mainly no dogs in bedroom. We had a fantastic stay at Y Cwtch, we look forward to returning and will be recommending to others!

the owners were very friendly and helpful. There are some beautiful coastal walks and scenery nearby. We particularly loved Ceibwr Bay (approx. 5 min drive). The nearby Neolithic Pentre Ifan burial chamber is worth a visit, and itâs also worth visiting another burial chamber, Llech y Drybedd, which is on the farm, and you can walk to from the cottage. Near to Pentre Ifan, there is one of the few remaining ancient woodlands in Wales called Ty Canol. It was beautiful in early May with all the bluebells in full flower. We would happily return.
