Ty Gwartheg is a well-received holiday cottage in South Wales, praised for its welcoming owner, Roger, and its beautiful location with sea views and proximity to beaches. Guests enjoyed the ample space for large groups, the pet-friendly policy, and the comfortable setting. The cottage's cleanliness and maintenance received mixed feedback, but the overall experience was positive with guests expressing a desire to return.
The cottage was generally found to be clean, with one report of finding food and dead flies on top of a dresser. Beds and kitchen were mentioned as clean, although some items needed washing before use.
The location is highly praised for its wonderful sea views, easy access to the beach, and proximity to local footpaths and the village. It is also well-placed for exploring the Pembrokeshire coast.

Ty Gwartheg is a beautifully renovated cart house that offers stunning sea views over Newport Bay in North Pembrokeshire.
Just minutes from the beaches of Parrog, Cwm yr Eglwys, and Pwll Gwaelod, the cottage also provides easy access to the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast Path and provides ideal accommodation for up to ten guests.
Enter into a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining room with a tiled floor and stunning sea views. The large kitchen is fitted with a range of units, including two electric ovens, a five-ring hob, a microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and coffee maker - everything you need to rustle up a delicious meal for all your guests.
Why not sit down together in the dining area that enjoys sea views and is furnished with a welsh dresser, a large farmhouse table, and ten chairs.
When it's time to retire with glass of wine in the evening head into the spacious sitting room featuring a tiled floor with rugs, a high open-beamed ceiling, exposed stone walls, and comfortable seating for everyone. The room also includes a color TV, video player, DVD, Hi-Fi system, and occasional furniture.
After a busy day exploring you'll be ready for some rest so head to the first of three ground floor bedrooms. The first of which offers stunning sea views and is furnished with a king-size bed, pine wardrobe, bedside tables, and a chest of drawers. The patio doors lead directly to the outdoor patio area.
The second ground floor bedroom features an open-beamed ceiling and a pine king-size bed, along with a wardrobe, bedside tables, and chest of drawers and the third bedroom also has open beams and is furnished with a set of three bunk beds, a chest of drawers, and a pine wardrobe.
On the same floor you'll find the family Bathroom is located downstairs and includes a bath with an electric shower, WC, and washbasin. There is also a separate Shower Room with a shower cubicle, WC, and washbasin.
Head up to the first floor to find the fourth bedroom, which has limited headroom and offers lovely sea views through velux windows. It is furnished with four 3' single beds, bedside tables, a chest of drawers, and hanging space for clothes.
The lawn at the front of the cottage provides superb sea views over Newport Bay, making it an ideal spot to watch the sunset. Garden furniture is provided for your comfort. Ample parking is available adjacent to the cottage, with additional spaces nearby.
Newport, a picturesque town on the Pembrokeshire coast in southwest Wales, is set along the banks of the River Nevern. It offers a variety of local shops, cozy pubs, and charming tea rooms, as well as a scenic golf course with sea views. The town’s sheltered harbour and location on the famous Pembrokeshire Coast Path make it perfect for coastal walks and spotting wildlife such as dolphins and seals. The nearby Preseli Hills offer additional walking routes with breathtaking scenery.

Newport lies on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path which is renowned worldwide for its unique landscape and wonderful opportunities to go dolphin and seal spotting. Wonderful coastal walks along the path or in the nearby Preseli Hills with the ever changing scenery are a walkers dream all year round. Learn about history when you visit the mills, craft centres and castles dotted around the county or spend a day at the wonderful Castell Henllys Iron Age Fort where you can learn hands on all about living during that time. See the majestic Shire Horses at the Shire Horse Farm or spend relaxing days on the huge choice of beautiful sandy beaches. All year round this is a perfect location for all the family.
