Guests say

West End Cottage in Newport, Pembrokeshire, is praised for its cleanliness, prime location near the coast, and cosy atmosphere. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities and the cottage's proximity to local amenities and scenic walks. Some concerns are noted regarding the size and accessibility, particularly the steep staircase and low doorways.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and well-maintained, with only one mention of cobwebs suggesting a minor oversight.

The location is highly regarded for its easy access to the beach, coastal paths, and local facilities, making it an excellent base for exploring Pembrokeshire.

While the cottage is generally considered cosy and warm, some guests experienced discomfort due to low doorways and the steep staircase, which could be problematic for taller individuals or those with mobility issues.

Facilities are deemed adequate for a comfortable stay, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and underfloor heating. However, some issues with TV channels and draughts from doors slightly affect the score.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

You could not find a nicer environment to holiday or live West End cottage is 'compact', the owners have carefully restored the building. Unfortunately, to maintain some of original features the door way into the bathroom is too low. I split the top my head and needed medical attention to clean up the skin and blood. 145cm (4 ft 9in) is very low. The lintel needs to be raised or softened to reduce damage to head contact. I will not be staying there again.

Very close to the coastal path so well positioned for walks. Good shops and restaurants locally With a wooden spiral staircase, not sure how suitable it is for elderly people?
