Guests have enjoyed their stays at 1 Gloucester Way, praising its well-equipped, high-end finish and homely touches. The hot tub and garden are particular highlights, contributing to a relaxing experience. While there are some concerns about maintenance and the games room, the property's location and comfort are consistently appreciated. Thoughtful gestures by the host, such as fresh flowers and welcome drinks, add to the welcoming atmosphere.
Most guests found the property to be exceptionally clean, with lovely smells and a well-maintained garden. However, there were isolated comments about a dirty hot tub upon arrival and a damp bathroom, which slightly affected the score.
The property's location is highly praised for its quietness, privacy, and proximity to local amenities and attractions. It serves as an excellent base for exploring South Pembrokeshire.
The property is described as comfortable and spacious, with cosy beds and a homely feel. Some minor issues with unfinished aspects and a damp smell in one room have been noted but do not significantly detract from the overall comfort.
Facilities like the hot tub and games room are well-received, but there are reports of the games room lacking promised features and the pool table being boxed on arrival. Some guests also mentioned the lack of an information pack and insufficient towels.
The host's thoughtfulness is evident in the provision of welcome gifts such as fresh flowers, drinks, and chocolates. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is important to note that such extras are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.
Situated in the quaint town of Pembroke Dock, a popular town in Pembrokeshire, is this delightful holiday home, 1 Gloucester Way. Perfect for families or even sharing friends, this property makes a fantastic base for exploring South Wales, welcoming six guests and two well-behaved dogs. Inside, make the most of the open-plan living space by cooking up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen before settling down in the dining area whilst you watch your favourite TV series on the wall-mounted Smart TV. As the evening draws to a close, retire to one of three well-presented bedrooms, each with a plush bed where you can drift off to a night's refreshing embrace. Be sure to take advantage of the stunning enclosed garden, home to a dining set and hot tub, giving you the option to dine alfresco and unwind under the stars. If you fancy exploring your local surroundings, grab a pint at The Welshman's Arms or sit down for some grub at the Seven Spice if you fancy taking a break from cooking one evening. The town of Pembroke is a short drive away, where you can visit the historic Pembroke Castle, Monkton Old Hall, or even go hiking in Holyland Wood. Milford Haven is accessible by car, home to the beautiful Milford Waterfront, which offers a wealth of drinking and dining options; the Milford Haven Museum, or even slip on some bowling shoes at the Phoenix Bowl, a great way to spend an afternoon. Further afield you can find the town of Haverfordwest, home to the Welsh Spitfire Museum, popular amongst tourists, as well as the Haverfordwest Golf Club, for those looking to practise their golf swing. Just beyond the town, be sure to take time to explore the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, an unmissable destination on your trip to South Wales. Enjoy all of this and much more during your stay at 1 Gloucester Way.
Pembroke Dock, also known as Doc Penfro in Welsh, is a lovely town with the gurgling River Cleddau running through it, located just northwest of the city centre of Pembroke. With a larger population than Pembroke itself, the town offers a variety of pubs, restaurants, convenience stores, parks, a train station, a heritage centre, and an impressive dockyard. The town also has historic elements thanks to the construction of the Royal Navy Dockyard, which dates back to the 1800s. You may reach the picturesque town of Neyland by crossing the Cledday Bridge. Neyland is home to a number of sporting organisations, including the Neyland Cricket Club, Neyland RFC, Neyland AFC, and a well-liked yacht club by the marina. Within walking distance is the bustling tourist destination of Pembroke town centre, where you can explore the ruins of Henry VII's birthplace, enjoy water sports like surfing and rowing, wander around West Angle Bay, or experience a local lobster feast at Café Mor on Freshwater West beach. The serene Milford Haven and the lively county town of Haverfordwest are two other charming Welsh towns that are close by. A thriving centre for exploring a fascinating region of Wales is Pembroke Dock.

1 Gloucester Way was a warm, comfortable, well located property for our break. The weather varied daily, from sunny, warm days to wet, cold ones â but the porch and the space in the garage allowed us to dry wet clothes without needing to worry about damp in the house. The heating meant we were warm and cosy on the wet and cold days. The kitchen had everything we needed. The weather meant we didnât sit out in the pleasant garden but it was secure so our dog could wander at will. The shower cubicle could have been a bit cleaner (but thatâs probably ânormalâ for a well-used shower) and the gutter at the rear overflowed when we had VERY heavy rain â but as Iâm thinking about when I can return it shows that we had a great time. Iâm already looking forward to returning to 1 Gloucester Way

The living area was very comfortable and a lovely touch with the fresh flowers. The gardens were both beautiful and established. The hottub was lovely to chill out in the evenings. The only draw backs I can mention is that the main bathroom is damp and could do with a deep clean on the tiles where the shower is. The main bedroom also felt a little unfinished in places and at times there was a damp smell. However my partner noticed the waterbutt outside is leaking and wondered if this was the cause of this. We didn't use the games room as the pool cues didn't have any tips. It's such a quiet street and a very peaceful stay we both would highly recommend staying here as the other things mentioned are real positives. Thank you so much for the little touches
Cheryl
