The Green Coast award winning Freshwater East beach is only a short, wood lined walk or drive away and is one of only a few local beaches that has no dog restrictions. One of the best in Pembrokeshire, it is a vast golden beach with sand dunes, giving you and the family plenty to explore. Pack a picnic and enjoy a day at the beach and treat yourself to an evening meal in the popular village bar and restaurant on your way back to the holiday cottage. Freshwater East is situated just 3.5 miles away from Pembroke, which offers a selection of dog friendly shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants along with its famous castle. Pembroke Castle is a must visit while in the area and has a selection of events scattered throughout the year to keep you entertained. If you enjoy being outdoors, there are plenty of coastal paths to explore in Pembrokeshire with walks and distances to suit all. Head over Stackpole Quay, just 3 miles from the property, and take the coast path along to the stunning Barafundle Bay. As you enter the property you are welcomed into a hallway with room to store shoes and coats.
