Make the charming seaside village of Saundersfoot your home with a stay at this delightful family home with room for up to seven (and the dog, if you have one). It’s located right on the seafront, with panoramic views of the beach and with direct beach access via some steps – wonderful if you’re into sea swimming. Within 0.5 miles, you’ll find a vibrant selection of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants along The Strand.
On entering this welcoming property, you’ll pass through an entrance hall with a few steps leading down to the first of four bedrooms – a double with doors opening out to a rear patio. There’s also a second double bedroom on this floor. Ascend the spiral staircase to the first-floor living area, featuring comfy sofas, a Smart TV and a dining area. The decor is neutral with a few splashes of colour, and plenty of dark wood furniture for a pleasing overall effect. Large windows reveal those lovely vistas, which you can absorb from the balcony, accessible through patio doors. Another climb up the spiral staircase takes you to the second floor, which houses a single bedroom with a Velux window, and a third double featuring an en-suite bathroom. The terraced patio is great for sunning yourself in good weather.
If you feel like a long walk, join the Pembrokeshire Coast Path (0.5 miles) and follow the path over rugged cliffs and through woodland to Tenby, around 4 miles away. This Victorian seaside town has three sandy beaches, a museum, a castle and an indoor climbing centre. During high season, you can also board a boat to Caldey Island, 3 miles offshore. The National Trust site at Colby Woodland Garden (4.5 miles) offers a 900-acre estate that’s wonderful to lose yourself in, as well as a fantastic tea room serving up lunches.

Fantastic views, booked specifically for this reason and didn’t disappoint. Would definitely book again.

Great location, close to beach and shops

The cottage location could not be better. A walk of only 20 or so metres and you are in the sea (when the tide is in). It is great for heading into the village or through the tunnel to Coppit Hall and beyond depending on want you want to do. Sitting on the upper viewing area /patio watching the wild life and people is also very relaxing. Loved it.
