Public car park facilities at the Rectory Car Park are close by and weekly tickets can be purchased (Easter to October). This ideal location is just 40 yards from the Esplanade which has access to the lovely sandy South Beach extending to one and a half miles from Castle Hill and St Catherine's Island to Giltar Point. From Giltar Point join the popular 180 miles of Britain's only National Parks coast path, very popular with keen walkers and to enjoy the breathtaking scenery. A short stroll to the centre of Town through quaint lanes encompass a good variety of shops, restaurants, public houses and a pretty harbour. During July and August enjoy the cafe culture in the centre of town when the town is car free during 11am to 5.30pm. Convenient for visiting the many leisure attractions in the county including Heatherton Country Sports Park, Manor House Leisure Park, Dinosaur Park, Folly Farm and Oakwood. Location Tenby, Pembrokeshire Coast National ParkTenby, South Pembrokeshire's largest town, offers splendid Victorian and Georgian architecture set within Tudor town walls. Tenby's roots date back to the time of the Norman conquest when the county was invaded and colonised in around 1093. Much of the medieval castle walls, built by the Pembrokeshire Earls in 1264 to fortify the town from the Welsh rebellion, have survived intact to the present day. It is perched dramatically on a rocky promontory and boasts award winning Blue Flag status for the white sandy beaches. There is a picturesque harbour with busy boats ferrying people to the monastic island of Caldey or taking out families for fishing trips, lush Mediterranean-style vegetation and charming narrow streets packed with shops, galleries and restaurants.
