The town is known for its extensive collection of book shops, but you’ll also find a fabulous array of independent boutiques, galleries, craft stores, and antique shops to explore. The River Wye runs through the town, and you can take relaxing strolls along the river bank or head down to The Warren for a picnic or a spot of wild swimming. The Wye Valley Walk and Offa’s Dyke Trail pass nearby, offering excellent long-distance walking options.
