This impressive country retreat is set in the hillside hamlet of Dardy, overlooking the picturesque town of Crickhowell. The spacious property sleeps up to 16 guests and boasts two reception rooms, a commercial-style kitchen, and beautiful outdoor areas for al fresco entertaining. Nearby family days out include Big Pit National Coal Museum (11 miles) and the Brecon Mountain Railway (16 miles).
The luxurious holiday home is bursting with character and period features, including exposed stone walls, elegant beams, and original windows. Each room oozes elegance and sophistication, with a fabulous array of ornate furniture and stylish accessories. A large entrance hall, with ample space to store outdoor attire, welcomes you inside the property. A sociable lounge/diner provides the perfect place for hosting dinner parties, with a banquet-style table to seat everyone and a collection of plush sofas for enjoying pre-dinner drinks from the bar. After dinner, retire to the second lounge, where you can watch the Smart TV in the glow of the wood burner or play pool with your fellow guests. A separate, commercial-style kitchen has everything needed to cater for a large group. A choice of two staircases lead to the first floor and seven exquisitely decorated bedrooms, all of which boast en-suite facilities. The two master bedrooms are set in the eaves on the second floor and enjoy stunning mountain views along with their own lounge areas and en-suite facilities. Outside, terraces to the front and rear of the property offer ample space for soaking up the sunshine and dining alfresco. There’s also a private hot tub for reviving weary limbs after a long walk.
The picturesque Georgian town of Crickhowell (1.5 miles) has a bustling high street with a good range of shops, pubs, and restaurants. Set at the foot of the Black Mountains, the walking opportunities are endless, with nearby peaks including Table Mountain (2 miles) and Sugar Loaf (7.5 miles). Further afield, you can take on the mighty Pen y Fan (18.5 miles), the highest peak in southern Britain. For something a little more sedate, enjoy gentle strolls along the River Usk or the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.

Absolutely fantastic property. Fabulous views. Really comfortable. Immaculately clean. Very responsive host. I actually can’t fault this place. Having been let down by Airbnb with less than 24 hours before 15 people were heading to Wales, Alex was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Wholeheartedly recommend.

What an amazing house, in the most stunning countryside. Really comfy beds, masses of space, games, books, TVs, hot tub, table football, a secret hideaway at the top of the garden....this is the perfect holiday house for kids and adults alike. The owner could not have been more helpful and was always quick to respond to any queries. We're already looking to book this again, and can't recommend it highly enough.
