The area offers some great days out, with an almost endless opportunity to walk in fabulous countryside, with fantastic cycle trails too. Why not grab a round of golf at either nearby Knighton or a little further afield at Kington, said to be the highest golf course in England. Kington also offers Hergest Croft Gardens and tearooms or for a great family day out, as well as the Small Breeds Farm Park and Owl Centre. Slightly further afield, within an hours’ drive away, why not take a trip to Ludlow, a pretty medieval town, popular for its gastronomic delights, or perhaps visit the National Trust property of Berrington Hall near the popular town of Leominster, known for its apple trees, fabulous walled gardens and Capability Brown parkland. The town of Presteigne is just 8.5 miles away with a range of independent shops.
